Your Next Stamp - Fave of 2019

Hello everyone!  Are you all ready to celebrate Christmas?  Today our challenge at Your Next Stamp is to make a card with our favorites.  I chose my favorite set from 2019 - Spread Your Wings and my favorite embellishments... GUMDROPS!  I wish you could see all the sparkle on this card.  Between the glitter in the Gumdrops and the Wink of Stella I used on the wings of the butterfly, it really shines.   It makes me happy. :)

Holiday Hello

Hello friends!

Would you like some extra inspiration with one of the new Your Next Stamp sets?  I love how the train cart "fillings" from Santa Express Train Carts Two can be used in different ways to give your card a whole different look.

Today, I added the ornament and lights cart topper that I cut out with the matching die to a sponged background that I dressed up with a simple die cut Scallop Star Edge border, a few hand cut flags and some Gumdrops.  I love that it looks whimsical and almost elegant with the light colors.

Your Next Stamp Challenge - Mad for Plaid

Good morning!

Today starts a new challenge over at Your Next Stamp and we are looking for cards that are "Mad for Plaid".  I decided to make it easy on myself and used some plaid background paper from the Mint Cocoa Kisses 6x6 Paper Pad.

The sweet little mice are from the new set Holiday Tea and the sentiment is one of my favorites from the Flurry of Happiness set.  I cut out my image and sentiment with dies from the Cool Tag Three Die Set, and used a Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out my patterned paper mat. Some Gumdrops  twine and a bit of Stickles finish it off!

I have had such fun playing with the stamps and dies in this release.  There is so much Christmas cuteness!  The set I used today is my very favorite.  What's not to love about bunnies and cookies???

All together now...

AWWWWWWWWW. 

My card is so, so easy.  Even the coloring is easy.  A kraft card base, a Darice embossing folder and some ribbon make the bottom layers.  Then I colored my Christmas Cookie image and cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle Die and used a Scalloped Stitched Rectangle that I cut in half and resized to make the red scalloped mat.  I stamped the sentiment and hand cut a little flag and then I popped it up with a little knot of twine on the end.  The iridescent sparkly snowflakes were at the bottom of a drawer in my stamp room.  Who knew??   I thought they fit here!

Your Next Stamp Holiday Challenge

Hello again!  We are starting a new challenge over at Your Next Stamp today with the theme of "Holiday Wishes".  I pulled out a set I hadn't had a chance to ink up last year - Stocking of Joy.

I used a sweet sentiment from the Flurry of Happiness set, some patterned paper from Mint Cocoa Kisses, a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Die, and some gumdrops.  Sweet and Simple!

Going Long! YNS Challenge 124

Hello friends!  

Our challenge title for this week at Your Next Stamp sounds like it should be football related!  But instead we were asked to make a card that was 3.75" x 9".  I don't make cards that long very often!

I decided to go with one of my favorite birthday sets... Waddles - Happy Brrr-thday.  I colored the images with my Comics and then fussy cut them, since I don't have the dies for this set.  I cut a mask from a piece of cardstock with the Circle Burst die and sponged through it with some yellow ink to add a "sun" to my sky.  I stamped a sentiment on some purple cardstock with Versamark ink, using both the Make Some Noise and Cool Tag Banner Sentiments, and embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I sprinkled it with gel pen dots for some fun.  The banners are cut from cardstock and patterned paper from the Birthday Girl pad, and I finished it up with some Magical Pastel Sparkly Gumdrops and some Fairy Magic Sparkly Gumdrops.

Make Some Noise

Acck!  So much sweetness!!!  I love this new Make Some Noise set from Your Next Stamp!  There are matching dies available to cut out the little images, but .... well, I buried my wire cutters under the pile on my stamping desk and couldn't find them ahem...misplaced my wire cutters so I couldn't cut the dies apart when I made the card.  The good thing is that they are easy to fussy cut! :)

I cut out the background with the new Circle Burst Die and sponged it with shades of pink and orange.  The patterned paper is from the Birthday Girl paper pad. Don't you just love patterned paper??  I do!

Your Next Stamp Preview - Fabulous Feathers

Winter Wonderland Sparkly Gumdrops

I was trying to make a little sky behind my birdie by embossing some white feathers on card stock and then sponging over it with blue ink, then framing it in a popped up circle.  Kind of like a shaker card without the shaker... :).  Just a quick, fun card to say hello to a friend!!

Your Next Stamp Challenge 121

It's school time, so we are working with our ABC's at Your Next Stamp... Anything But a Card.  This is something I really struggle with, but it really came together fast when I decided to use the Flower Treat Bag die!  I decorated the pieces with some fall patterned paper before I used some ScorTape to put it together.  Then I layered a few tags together and tied them onto the bag with some twine.  It fits that little baggie of M&M's perfectly!! :)

Your Kindness

Hello again!

I have a quick and easy card to share today for our "Thank You" Challenge at Your Next Stamp.  I made my background paper do most of the work!  I stamped a sweet smile from the So Mush Fun set on the sun, and added a butterfly and sentiment from Flowers and Smiles set.  Quick and easy and already in the mail to brighten someone's day!

Sew Thoughtful

Hello friends!

It's time for another challenge over at Your Next Stamp, and this time around we are looking for Lots of Squares.  I've had this Sprinkles image from the Sew Sweet stamp set, and these flowers from the All Aboard Bunch of Happiness set sitting on my desk for a month now, all colored and waiting to be used on a card.  Well, today was the day!! :)  I used some scraps of patterned paper from my stash for the background squares in the So Many Squares Panel Die, and just layered Sprinkles and the flowers on top.  I embossed the sentiment in white and added some sparkly Gumdrops.  So quick and easy!!

Hello again!

I am on the Your Next Stamp blog today sharing this fun card ...

It features another of the cute critters that are included in the Cool Tee set -- one that I have dubbed Einstein bird.  What a hoot! (Oh, wait, that would be an owl...) Anyway, I colored my bird with copics and added him to a card full of patterned paper layers.  I think it would be the perfect birthday card for someone who loves computers, or science, or both!  The sentiment I chose is from the Cool Tag Banner Sentiments.  That set is so versatile that it never leaves my desk!

Kitty Love

I'm back with a card for the new challenge on the Your Next Stamp blog!  Our theme this week is pets and I am using the sweet kitties from our new Cool Tees set.

I stamped the kitty three times and colored them with Copics before I used the coordinating die to cut them out.  I don't always use the dies when I am fussy cutting, but I love that this particular die cuts out a tiny heart inside the curl of the tail.  There's no way I could do that with scissors!!  I attached the kitties to a Stitched Scallop Rectangle die cut and added a ribbon to up the cuteness factor.  It made me happy... :)
