Hi friends!
I needed a number of cards quickly yesterday so I actually made some duplicates! I did change up the sentiment, though, so I wouldn't get too bored. :)
I used the beautiful flowers from the Pink and Main Humming Bird set (I think these flowers are soooo pretty!!) and some Scripture sentiments from Verve to make four cards. First, I positioned four of the flowers on my block and stamped them with Versamark on a piece of cardstock that was still in the die. Then, I embossed them with clear EP, and, finally I sponged over the flowers to make them pop. After that I just needed to stamp my sentiment and layer my card! Easy and quick... LOVE!!
I'm adding these into Pink and Main's Anything Goes challenge, and Word Art Wednesday's challenge as well! :)

Surely Goodness
Tuesday Morning Sketches had a fun sketch this week that looked like it would be perfect to showcase one of the verses from Verve. I used one of my favorite sets - Surely Goodness - and stamped flowers in the center of my card, then covered it with a diagonal band of cardstock. I cut out the verse with a stitched rectangle from Your Next Stamp, and added a few colored flowers. I wanted some of this green cardstock for leaves, but the only piece I had left had already been used to cut out some foliage with a die from Verve, so I just cut around the outside of the negative. They are kind of fun and quirky! :)

Verve Diva Inspiration Challenge - Clean and Simple
Did you see the pretty colors in this month's Diva Inspiration Challenge?
I went with a clean and simple color blocked card today. I attached strips of cardstock to a piece of typing paper and used a Stitched Rectangle die from Your Next Stamp to cut it out. Then I stamped flowers from Verve's Beautiful You set in Versamark ink, and finished off with a sentiment from Verve's Surely Goodness stamped in Versafine Black. I popped it up on a white card base using 3D foam squares.
Thanks for dropping by!

God is Able
Hello friends!
My card today is for all of you who are hurting as we approach Holy Week and the celebration of Christ's resurrection. God is Able!! Able to keep us from falling -- Able to save us to the uttermost -- Able to heal -- Able to forgive. Praise His Holy Name!! My sketch today is from Viva La Verve's first sketch of the month and the stamps are all from Verve. Have a blessed day!

Viva La Verve!
I'm playing along with this week's Viva La Verve sketch with some inspiration from The Challenge. I stamped my Verve Plain Jane in Dusty Rose and Dark Chocolate inks from Gina K and cut them out with a Pierced Square die. The flowers are from the Verve set "Good Work".
Have a splendiferous afternoon!

Verve Inspiration
Hello again!
Did you see the pretty inspiration picture for this month's Diva Dare over at Verve? I decided to combine some of its elements with the Viva La Verve sketch and came up with this card...

I used the gorgeous Good Work set and dies, and variegated my sentiment by swiping a Charcoal Brown ink pad over certain words after I had inked it up with Kraft ink.

Sharing More Joy
Hi again!
I'm back with another Share Joy card. I was so late with the last one that they almost overlapped! : )
I'm back with another Share Joy card. I was so late with the last one that they almost overlapped! : )
I followed the sketch provided, with my normal "wonky" panel, and used the Zinnia Bouquet as my image. The sentiment is from Verve. I watercolored my flowers with Distress, Tombow and SU markers and stamped both the image and sentiment in VersaFine Black ink. The paper is some I got from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice. I'll be sending this along to an SCS friend soon!
Thanks for looking!

Just playing along with another Hope You Can Cling To challenge on Splitcoaststampers!
Today's theme was hugs and I had a couple of challenges that I wanted to enter, so I made two with that theme...
First, my Share Joy Challenge card for the week, using the sketch. I'll be putting this in my HYCCT box that is going to the MD Anderson Cancer Center. I used the snowman from Taylored Expressions Ready, Set, Snow set. Isn't he sweet??
And second, this little sweetie. I used the Viva La Verve sketch (although I had to cut off the circle some) and a sentiment and doodle from Verve's Always on my Mind. The little girl is from MFT.
Thanks for dropping by today!

{Share Joy} #2 - God is Good
I'm using my pretty Zinnia Bouquet (Taylored Expressions) again today for this week's Share Joy Challenge card. It's easy for me to watercolor and it lends itself so nicely to pretty scripty sentiments like this one from Verve. I have a recipient in mind for this week's card, so I'm going to keep this short and go write in her card instead!! :)
Have you played along in the challenge yet? My goal is to play along each week, just so I'll send out a card. You know - actually put a stamp on it and mail it!! :)

{Mojo Monday} The Glory
Wouldn't that be a stamping dream come true?? To work with Julee and those fabulous sketches and her sweet team every. single. week?? Sigh.
OK, enough dreaming - let's talk about the card. I used stamps from three of my favorite places Verve - for the sentiment - Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - for the JustRite background stamp - and Gina K - for the pretty butterfly. Which , by the way, is another reason I love challenges like this... I can mix and match my stamps!
I stamped the Rose Garden background stamp in Versamark and clear embossed it on a piece of white cardstock. After I cut the circle out of the corner with a BluePrints die by MFT, I sponged in the rays using Gina K's Sweet Corn and Innocent Pink inks. I cut another circle to inset into the corner and stamped a verse from Verve's Scripture Medley 2 in the same inks, and then swiped the center with Dark Chocolate ink to make those words stand out. Then I stamped a butterfly from Gina K's Warm Spring Wishes set on vellum and white embossed it. I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers on the back and with a Wink of Stella brush on the front. It is SO sparkly in real life! : ) A few Prima Sugar Dots and some matting and I was done.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

{Viva La Verve} May Sketches
Hi everyone! I have a bunch of cards to share with you today! Yesterday I realized that another month had gone by in which I hadn't made time to play along with the Viva La Verve sketch challenge. I LOVE the VLV Sketch Challenge!! So I gave myself permission to make simple cards. My guidelines were that I wanted each one to have a Scripture verse on it, and I wanted to use my MME Notable patterned paper.
Here are the finished products...

Won't they make a fun set? Simple and mailable... except maybe for the buttons on the second one. I'm going to go post these in my SCS gallery so I can enter them all separately!! : )

{Curtain Call Challenge} Taste and See
Hi everyone!
Just dropping by with a card for the current Curtain Call challenge!
I've had the urge to pull out some of my "old favorite" stamps lately, so I'm playing along with the daily challenges on SplitCoast and using stamps that are feeling neglected. : ) This sweet cupcake is one of my very favorites to color and it always looks whimsically elegant. I combined it with a Verve Plain Jane to make a sweet and simple notecard.

Morning by Morning
Hello again!
I was playing in my stamping corner this morning, so I'll have two posts to share today.
: ) First up is a card for the Cupcake Color Challenge using the Mojo Monday Sketch. I used some pretty patterned paper from the Gina K pack "Spring Parade", along with a Verve stamp and some MFT Upsy Daisy die cuts.

Hello Bear!
Isn't this image SO sweet? It's from a clear set by Lili of the Valley that I won in a challenge on SplitCoast last year and I hadn't stamped with until now. There is a whole sheet of adorable images, so I'm sure you'll be seeing them on and off here! The little sentiment is framed with the Charming Oval die set by Verve. It is such a pretty way to set off a small sentiment!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

{Viva La Verve} Praying for You
I have MISSED the Viva La Verve Challenge! I combined today's sketch with the colors from the VSN Mini challenge on SplitCoast to make this card. I used the pretty set "Wonderfully Made" and colored the flower and sentiment with Spectrum Noir Markers. I used a gel pen to add some detail to the flower and a few Doodlebug enamel dots for embellishment.

(Deconstructed Sketch 187}
Have you ever started making a card for a challenge and when it was finished it TOTALLY didn't fit the challenge anymore? I started this card with the intent of using the Deconstructed Sketch and some Verve stamps to make a Valentine card for the challenge on the Verve blog. Hmmm... I have hearts on it and I'm going to send it to a friend for Valentine's Day... Does that count???? : )
LOL! I love this MME My Girl paper. It is so happy. You know, I used to have a hard time using bright colors and now it seems like I'm drawn to them. I guess we all change over time, don't we??
Thanks for stopping by today!

{Mojo Monday} Taste and See
I had to clean my stamping desk today, and as a reward for good behavior I got to make a Mojo Monday card with one of my new Verve Plain Jane's that came to live with me over Christmas. I used some MME My Girl paper and a couple of MFT dies, along with a little button and twine and some Doodlebug enamel dots. I also used some Gina K Designs Cherry Red cardstock and ink. Have you tried their ink? I really, really like it. It works with clear stamps SO nicely!!
Thanks for dropping by today!

A Couple Challenges
I had a whole afternoon in my stamping area, so after I cleaned my desk (which took a few minutes about an hour) and made a couple of DT cards, I decided to play with some of the new things that I got over Christmas.
First a card for this week's Mojo Monday challenge...
First a card for this week's Mojo Monday challenge...
I watercolored my new Zinnia Bouquet from Taylored Expressions with Distress Markers, and used a new Verve set for the sentiment.
Then I made a card for Jen's Deconstructed Sketch...
This one uses itty bitty sun, cloud, and fox dies from Taylored Expressions as well as flags and a border from MFT and a hill die from The Cat's Pajamas. I didn't even stamp on the card at all! I used micro brads for the fox's nose and eyes instead of the tiny pieces that were included, just to add some extra dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today!
