All Done!
Here's the line up of the stockings that I've done over the past 9 years...
I'll be starting a new cross-stitch only blog soon. With the January challenge coming up I don't want to overwhelm all of my faithful stamping followers! I'll let you know the link when it's up and running. Speaking of stamping, I'll have a post for the TAC blog hop up as soon as it's open!
Blessings!

A Quiet Afternoon
Just a quiet afternoon here. I'm fighting with a headache, and feeling kind of sklonklish - as Shirley Temple would say - so I've been visiting some cross stitch blogs and found this cross stitch giveaway. Wouldn't it be fun to win this for Christmas??
Have a lovely day!

So Close!
Hi friends! Sorry to be missing in action for so long, but with Thanksgiving and company and working on this stocking, I just haven't had a minute to spare! Today is Tara's bday, and here's what she's getting... It's *so* close - but I still need to do all the backstitching on the bottom half, finish the silver across the top, and add in the french knots. When I finish this, I'm going to work on a project that I can finish in a night or two that has *no* back stitching. ;-) I can't say that it doesn't add to it, though! It really seems to just light up with each stitch!!Thanks for stopping by! I plan to have a card to show you by tomorrow at the latest. :-)
Blessings!

Stocking Update!
Well, there is light at the end of my tunnel! I have just a couple more weeks before I need to have this done, but I'm almost there! I did leave all the backstitching for the end, so that will add a little more time, but thankfully there's not a lot of it! :-)When I'm done with this, I hope to whip up a few ornaments before Christmas. I've found that I can stitch quickly when I'm listening to a Librivox Audiobook, though, so I should be able to get them done. THEN... I have a list of things to stitch for next year. Two Shepherd's Bush fobs, CCN's Pumpkin Cottage, something for Love Quilts, more ornaments... I can't wait! I'd also like to participate in a few more exchanges next year. I only did a couple this year, but they were so much fun! :-)
Happy Stitching!

Stitching Update & Pay It Forward!
Saturday was my niece's wedding, so I took some time off of stitching on The Stocking (notice the capital letters... I think it now has it's own personality! LOL!) to stitch up this adorable little star ornament by JBW from the JCS Ornament magazine. I actually got about 1/2 done with it and realized that the measurements that I'd cut my material by were assuming you were doing it over 1. I'd been stitching over two and after getting two points of the star done I figured out that it would be too big for my fabric. Silly me! So I restarted over one and it turned out so pretty! Here's their gift...
Here's my stocking progress for the last two weeks. I only have 29 more days to work on it!!!
And, finally, here is the Pay It Forward from Cath that I received last week. Isn't it fun?? I couldn't figure out who would be sending me something from overseas, but what a treat to find something stitched! So, now it's my turn! If you are interested in doing a Pay It Forward with me, let me know! I will send something handmade in the next year to you if you are one of the first three to respond. You in turn will post on your blog and "pay it forward" to three more people. You can let me know if you would prefer something stitched or quilted or some of my handmade cards. Just so you know, though, I doubt I'll get them out before the first of the year. It's busy, busy, busy around here just now! :-) Be sure to sign up soon! Pay it Forward gift from Cath
Thanks so much for dropping by today! Blessings!

Cross Stitch Update!
I am so pleased with my progress this week on my dd's stocking!! Yay!! I haven't had much time to work on the LHN Patience thread pack, but it will get finished sooner or later. :-)And my dd #2 finished LHN's Winter Whites this week. Isn't it beautiful! I can't wait for Christmas when it becomes mine. :-)
We're off the computer on Sundays, so I hope to get some stitching done after church. That will be a nice way to rest.
Thanks for stopping by! I'll see you next week!
Blessings!

Lots to Share!
Progress!!! :-) Yippee! I was able to put in quite a few hours on the stocking this week, especially yesterday, when I had the computer off all day. I did make a mistake in one section - some of you eagle eyed stitchers will catch it, I'm sure, but my dd doesn't mind, so I think I'll leave it. :-) My goal is to finish this by the end of November, so I really, really need to keep going. I figure that I'm between a quarter and a fifth done.
Just a little progress on "Patience" by Little House Needleworks... but I have to show you "Winter Whites" that my other dd is making me for Christmas. Isn't it bee - a - u - tiful??? :-) I hope she can still give it up when she's done with it!Tricia

Hello friends! Here's a long overdue cross stitch update! :-) First, I have a Lizzie Kate freebie that I stitched a few years ago, that I *finally* made into a pin pillow - inspired by Becky SC's Great Pumpkin Challenge! :-) It's sitting on the lap of my favorite fall decoration...
This is my travel project right now... Little House Needleworks' "Patience" thread pack. It's a "slowly but surely" stitch, since I only work on for a few minutes here and there.
Then I have my start on the Dimensions Gold Collection Christmas stocking for dd. I'm trying to work on this a little more regularly as I would really like to get this done by the end of November. I'm hoping to get some sort of a needlework stand soon, though, if I can save some money for it. My hands are starting to hurt again from stitching, which they haven't done for awhile, and I'm 5 hours away from my chiropractor instead of 30 minutes like I used to be, so I need to find a way to keep my wrists and shoulders less "stressed" once they've been adjusted.

Cross Stitch Catch Up!
I can't believe that it has been so long since I last updated my cross stitch! Let's see... at the end of July, my dd and I went to a week long string camp in IN. A while ago, I had bought the Traveling Stitcher pattern and thread and I'd decided that it would be my project while she and I were gone. I'm not a very fast stitcher, but since I stitched it on 18 ct Fiddler's Cloth aida, it was an easy stitch, and I was thrilled to be able to finish it the night we got home! You'll notice that I changed the wording some. It's now a Psalm 139 sampler. :-)
Of course, there is the Psalm 23 sampler in an older book by Diane Williams of LHN fame, that I just *had* to get from someone in our group who was destashing... And I have the fabric for it already... Maybe that will become my travel project. :-) Or perhaps I should finish my other travel projects first???? Decisions, Decisions!! LOL!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Isn't this Gorgeous??
Hi friends! Sorry I've been MIA this week!! I'm teaching at a Music Camp this week and my schedule has been insane. I obviously am not a teenager any longer!!! :-) I promise I'll be back next week with some fun cards! This beautiful scissors keeper was my exchange piece from Becky K. Isn't it GORGEOUS! You should see all the beautiful beads and buttons. Sigh. It was like Christmas, when I received it in the mail! I still haven't heard from the gal I sent my exchange piece to. I do hope she's received it. It was, of course, the one that I forgot to put delivery confirmation on!! :-(
Have a fantastic week. I'll see you back here when I have a life again! ;-)
Blessings!

Cross Stitch Weekend WrapUp
I have a fun finish or two to show you today. :-) First, a little crushed walnut shell stuffed pin pillow for my blogging friend Carol, who let me stitch her Secret Flower Bed chart. The pattern I used is from a Prairie Schooler booklet called Welcome Spring. The linen is unknown, and I stitched it in a mixture of DMC and overdyed floss from my stash. I'm *so* glad she liked it!!
Next is a Prairie Schooler ornament that I stitched for the Early Christmas Ornament exchange that I'm participating in. I hope it's been received by now and that my partner likes it!!I'm still working on putting together a fun blog candy for all my followers. Stay tuned!! :-)
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings!
