MFTWSC165 - A Great Friend

My card tonight is a clean and simple take on the MFT Sketch Challenge.  I used some pretty Authentique paper and lace from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store to give a vintage feel to my card.  The sentiment is from the MFT set Forget Me Not.

Do you find that you use certain dies on almost every card?  MFT's Fishtail Flags Layers and the Stitched Circles STAX DieNamics are like that for me.  They are definitely in my favorites!!

Thanks for dropping by!

MFT Sketch Challenge

I just adore the new flower in MFT's Blueprints 12 DieNamics!  I layered a number of them together to make the pretty larger flower in the cluster here.  The smaller ones were made with the Mini Rolled Roses DieNamics.  I followed (sort of!) this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch and made a saying from Cheerful Blessings my focal point.  The paper is Authentique Cherish from Stamp Simply.

OK, I think three posts for today is enough, but I have certainly enjoyed playing in my craft room today! : )

Happy Valentine's Day!

MFTWSC161 - Flowers for You

I colored the sweet PI girl from the set "Because You're Special" for this week's MFT Sketch Challenge card.  My papers are from the Kaisercraft Devonshire and MME Bluebell pads from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I love those colors!  They coordinate with the Fuse Green button and hemp cord so well!

I used a number of DieNamics to cut the different shapes...
FishTail Flag Layers - long banner
Blueprints 4 - heart
Blueprints 5 - Rounded Rectangle
Blueprints 6 - Doily Circle

I so enjoy using my Blueprints Die-Namics!!  They make card sketches so easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

MFTWSC160

Hi everyone!

I did a little bit of stamping this afternoon to see if I could use up the rest of my MME Tangerine dp from Stamp Simply and play in a few challenges... SO I have three posts right in a row.  Hope you don't get tired of me! :)

First up is my MFT Sketch card for this week featuring MFT's Pretty Poppies and DieNamics plus the Blueprints 2, Blueprints 3, Fishtail Flag Layers and Scallop Ribbon Border DieNamics.  I think the pierced and stitched edges on those dies adds so much to the card and that font is one of my favorites!

MFTWSC152 - Under the Wire

I just looked at the clock and realized that I only had half an hour to get this photgraphed, fixed, uploaded and linked before the linky closes on the MFTWSC152 challenge!  EEK!!  And then I just realized I forgot the buttons on the side.  SIGH!  Why do I bother????

I used lots and lots of MFT goodies on my card, but I don't have time to link them all.  Be sure to email me if you need a name or some info!! : )

MFTWSC151 - Butterfly Thanks

I was SO thrilled to be able to pick up a few sets that I've been wishing for at the MFT sale last week.  They came on Saturday, so I inked up the Butterfly set this morning to make a quick card with this week's sketch challenge.

I just love the pretty silhouettes on the butterflies in this set and the gorgeous Thank You!!  Thanks MFT!

MFT Sketch Challenge

Hello, hello!
Here's my loose interpretation of this week's MFT sketch! :)  I turned it on its side...

I used the little Farmer girl and made a little scene with the fence die so it would also fit the Hope you can cling to "Make a Scene" challenge!

MFTWSC142 - Under the Wire

Here I am again, sneaking under the wire with last week's MFT sketch!  This week I used some Dienamics from Blueprints 5 and 3, as well as the Peek a Boo Dots dienamics.  The sentiment is from the All Occasion Sentiments set.

Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Blueprints and Plaid

Hi everyone!

I'm back today with a card for this week's MFT Sketch Challenge.  I went wild with my Blueprints DieNamics and scraps of DP for this narrow card, and, oh, how fun it was!! :)

First I cut a piece of white cardstock to 6x6" and folded it in half to make a longish card. My pink piece wasn't quite long enough, so I trimmed down the card to work with it.  I'm thinking the card base ended up being about 5.75" when I was done.

I used Blueprints 1 to cut the two strips of faux-stitched designer paper, and then I used Blueprints 4 to cut a little scalloped edging from white cardstock for one of them.  The white layer is actually a tag from Blueprints 6, and I stamped the plaid pattern with three different MFT inks... Red Hot, Kraft and BubbleGum... using the journaling lines from the "DC Tag, You're It" set.  LOVE!!!  The cute little kraft sentiment strip is from Blueprints 2 and stamped with a greeting from "Pretty Poppies" and the flower is cut with dies from Blueprints 5.  Now if I could have only gotten something from Blueprints 3 on there I would have used them all! :)

I really, really love the Blueprints for doing sketch challenges.  There are so many options that work perfectly!  Thanks, MFT, for making stamping easy!!

Today is my "last hurrah" - playing along as a guest designer with My Favorite Things.  What an incredible month it has been!!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing all the new products.  I'd love to hear what your favorites were!

My card today is for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  It uses two of the new stamp sets, Cheerful Blessings and Dandelion Wishes, and the fun Graduated Dots Stencil.  I used the new Steel Blue ink for the sentiment. Isn't it a pretty color?

Be sure to stop over at the MFT blog to see the Design Team's fabulous cards. There is always TONS of inspiration!!! Don't forget that there is a chance for a weekly prize, drawn randomly, valued at up to $20 in vouchers to the MFT Boutique. MFT Sketch Challenge - Friends

Yay!  It's Wednesday Sketch Challenge Time!!

My card for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge uses a gorgeous new set by Mona Pendleton called Dandelion Wishes as the main image and a sentiment from Lisa Johnson's set Cheerful Blessings, both of which will be released next Tuesday!  If you look carefully you can see that I embossed the dandelion fluff onto the Whip Cream cardstock as well as onto the kraft.  And then I knocked over the bottle... all over my craft table.  SIGH!  But I digress.  This card looks super soft and lacy in real life!  Here's a close up...

I'm Happy!

Happy, Happy!  I am happy!
'Cause I get to play
With the MFT DT
On this Wed-nes-day.

Sketches are such fun to do,
Following a picture.
No one's card will be the same.
What will be your mixture??

Hello friends!

I *am* happy today, because I get to play along with the Design Team at My Favorite Things this month!  Can you imagine??  I still can't believe it's true.  What a huge privilege!!  Today is Wednesday Sketch Challenge day and I chose to work with some of the first stamps I ever got from MFT -- Pure Innocence  Love You with all my Heart and Clearly Sentimental Happy Thoughts.  I just love the sweetness of the Pure Innocence line and I thought that was a perfect sentiment for today!!  I paper pieced my little PI girl with some scraps of MME paper and added some stitching to tie together my main layer and a section of Wonky Scallop Border Die-Namics.  The flags were made with the  First Place Award Ribbon DieNamics.

I'm so thankful that you stopped to visit me today.  I hope you'll join us for the challenge!!

Here's a busy little card for the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge from last week.  I am enchanted with this little bear!  I had to play with the little scallop die, too.  I see many more dies from MFT in my future!  The are easy to use and so classy!   Have you been hopping through the MFT gals' blogs looking at all the new goodies?  I'm looking forward to the release party tomorrow night!!

An Old Favorite

I saw the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge and loved it!  Since I don't have any MFT stamps yet (although I love this new little sheep!) I pulled out an old favorite from Stampin' Up - "Halloween Hedgehogs".   I love how updated they look when colored with copics!  Thanks for the sketch MFT!  I'm also entering this in the Paper Play Challenge for Autumnal Colors.

Have a blessed day!
