Lawn Fawn Critter Concert

Hello again!

I have had this Level Up die by My Favorite Things for a few months a long time now and I've been too nervous to try it, but I wanted to make a card from our music team at church to the bass guitar of our bass player because it broke during practice. (How's that for a run-on sentence!). Anywho, I thought this was a perfect time to try the 3-D die.  I used the sweet Lawn Fawn Critter Concert set and it turned out "better than horrible" as Gina K would say. Even though it wasn't perfect, it was fully appreciated, as indicated by the bass guitar's full return to health two weeks later. :) 

BTW, I'm the raccoon in the front playing flute... :)

 

{Just for Fun} Bloom

This afternoon I took a break and played along with the color challenge on SplitCoast.  Just a sweet simple card with some sponged Upsy Daisy DieNamics flowers from MFT and a sweet PTI sentiment taking center stage over a background stamped with the JustRite Filigree Leaves stamp from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Never Forget

MFT came out with SUCH a pretty new "Forget Me Not" set this month, that I just had to ink it up as soon as it came in the door.  I used the sketch from The Shabby TeaRoom, and the colors from this month's Color Challenge at MFT.

I used two MFT sets on my card today.  A sweet PI, that I think is retired, and a sentiment from the Blissful Butterflies set.  For DieNamics I used Fishtail Flags Layers, Stitched Circles, and the sweet bow from Blueprints 3.

The dp is Authentique Cherish from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and my glitter of choice is Stickles on her cheeks and on the heart. : )

Hi everyone!

I did a little bit of stamping this afternoon to see if I could use up the rest of my MME Tangerine dp from Stamp Simply and play in a few challenges... SO I have three posts right in a row.  Hope you don't get tired of me! :)

First up is my MFT Sketch card for this week featuring MFT's Pretty Poppies and DieNamics plus the Blueprints 2, Blueprints 3, Fishtail Flag Layers and Scallop Ribbon Border DieNamics.  I think the pierced and stitched edges on those dies adds so much to the card and that font is one of my favorites!

Hello friends!

I have a special card to share today!  It uses a digital set called "Squeaker in Knots" by KnK Designs... which is actually my daughter's digi shop! : )  She has a number of adorable sets in her shop right now, with more on the way, and each set has a number of sentiments in the CUTEST fonts.  I hope you'll check it out!!

I used this week's MFT Sketch for the layout and pulled out my trusty MFT Blueprints 3, 5 and 6 for the scallop, the doily circle and the bow.  I used the MFT Textile Background set on the center strip.

I'm also entering this in this week's Classy Cards n Such challenge for a doily and hearts.

Crafty Snowflakes

In honor of our frigid, snowy weather I put together a CAS snowflake card to enter in a couple of challenges.  I pulled out an older Kaisercraft pad called Devonshire from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and cut a few borders with my Blueprints 3 Dies from MFT. After stitching my panels together I stamped three snowflakes from Verve's Unto Us set in MFT's Berrylicious ink.  Then I stamped the thank you from MFT's Pretty Poppies in PTI's smokey shadow ink and added a few pearls.

I love this sketch!  I've wanted to use my new Verve set - No Matter What - and this Viva La Verve sketch was perfect for it!!  I used a couple of pieces of Christmas paper from the Kaisercraft Christmas Carol pad and lots of MFT dies, paper and ink.  I topped it off with PTI buttons and some MFT twine.  I am apparently an equal opportunity stamper! :)

I used last month's Free with $60 set and the pretty distressed background block.  I wanted to add this to the guy cards in my birthday stash, so I opted to just add some staples as my embellishments.

Hi again!

I wanted to be sure to play along with the MFT sketch challenge for this week... especially because I have some new MFT goodies to play with. : )  Yay for new goodies!  I did swap sides with the embellishments and tab, because they seemed to fit my image better... : )

I played with my new You're My Cup of Tea set, the Textured Backgrounds and Spring Backgrounds, and my new fun favorite... the mini rolled roses that I've wanted forever!  I made the roses from post-it note paper and then I sprayed them with shimmer spray and smooshed them down so they would be flatter.  I love the shimmer on them in real life!

Good morning, everyone!

I have a fun, fun card featuring the bunny from Verve's Hoppy Easter set today!  I colored the bunny with copics and paper pieced his tummy with some My Mind's Eye Tangerine paper from the Stamp Simply Store.  Isn't it a pretty paper pad??  I love the ORANGE!!! :)  Orange makes me happy. :)

Anyway!

I followed this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch, so I used a classic and petite scalloped circle nestie to frame my bunny and I cut two different flags - one with MFT's Fishtail Flags Layers and the stitched one was cut with Blueprints 2.

The sentiment is a combo of two stamps.  I used Hoppy, which was part of 'Hoppy Easter' from the Hoppy Easter set, and Birthday, from 'Birthday Wishes for You', which is part of the Making a Statement set.  (Both from Verve)

Hello again!

I'm putting in my MFT Sketch card under the wire again this week!  Somehow my weeks get busy! :)  For this week's card I layered some of the Pretty Poppies stamped in Red Hot and Factory Green inks, onto a pierced circle cut with the die from Blueprints 3.  LOVE!  There is a little hemp string in the buttons, a seam binding bow and a little sentiment flag cut with the smallest Fishtail Flags Layers die.  Of course the layout is MFT sketch challenge 136.

CAS(E)d Thanks

Good morning, friends!  I made a quick card for the CAS(E) this sketch using Surely Goodness and Circular Sayings from Verve.  The dies and cardstock are from MFT. And the white cardstock is from Flourishes.  What a mix of companies on one tiny card!!

Here's this week's sketch... (I'm really quick today because the sketch actually came through my reader last night.  Someone must have published on accident!! LOL!!  I hate it when I do that!!! : )

Deconstructed CDS Mojo

How's that for a title??? LOL!  I've been having so much fun making cards lately and pulling out older sets that I haven't used for awhile.  Yesterday I wanted to make a card for one of the older men at church, and I remembered that I had a train set from Clear Dollar Stamps... somewhere.  It took some searching, but I found it.  And on the way I realized that I have NO men's stamp sets!!!  I need to remedy that!!

I used a Factory Green, Kraft, Soft Suede colorway for this card and did a little embossing on the green panel to mimic the dp... which was some older SU paper that I won last year... YAY!!  The sentiment is Circular Sayings from Verve and the sketch is the Deconstructed Sketch 107.  I'm also going to link this up with Stacey's birthday party linky party.  There are lots of fun prizes to be had!

My second card is a very clean and simple version of this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  Happy Anniversary, Mojo Monday!!!  It also uses a retired image from Clear Dollar Stamps.  I've always loved this little flower and its sentiments!!  Same colorway this time, with a little stitching, some twine, and a few dies from MFT.

Here's my card for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used the Pretty Poppies, Cheerful Blessings, Distressed Backgrounds, and Notched Tag sets, and dienamics from Blueprints 1 and 3 as well as the Heirloom label die.  I REALLY could use the Poppy dies as well!! The buttons and cardstock is from MFT as well...  Bubblegum, Sour Apple, Kraft and Whip Cream cardstock, and Bubblegum and Natural buttons.
