{Mojo Monday} The Glory

Wouldn't that be a stamping dream come true??  To work with Julee and those fabulous sketches and her sweet team every. single. week??  Sigh.

OK, enough dreaming - let's talk about the card.  I used stamps from three of my favorite places Verve - for the sentiment - Stamp Simply Ribbon Store - for the JustRite background stamp - and Gina K - for the pretty butterfly.  Which , by the way, is another reason I love challenges like this... I can mix and match my stamps!

I stamped the Rose Garden background stamp in Versamark and clear embossed it on a piece of white cardstock.  After I cut the circle out of the corner with a BluePrints die by MFT, I sponged in the rays using Gina K's Sweet Corn and Innocent Pink inks.  I cut another circle to inset into the corner and stamped a verse from Verve's Scripture Medley 2 in the same inks, and then swiped the center with Dark Chocolate ink to make those words stand out.  Then I stamped a butterfly from Gina K's Warm Spring Wishes set on vellum and white embossed it.  I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers on the back and with a Wink of Stella brush on the front.  It is SO sparkly in real life! : )  A few Prima Sugar Dots and some matting and I was done.

{Mojo Monday} Taste and See

I had to clean my stamping desk today, and as a reward for good behavior I got to make a Mojo Monday card with one of my new Verve Plain Jane's that came to live with me over Christmas.  I used some MME My Girl paper and a couple of MFT dies, along with a little button and twine and some Doodlebug enamel dots.  I also used some Gina K Designs Cherry Red cardstock and ink.  Have you tried their ink?  I really, really like it.  It works with clear stamps SO nicely!!

I did a little end-of-year sale shopping at some of my favorite stamping shops and this sweet sentiment set from Verve was one of my purchases, so when I wanted to make a card with the newest Mojo Monday sketch it was begging to be used!  The MME "My Girl" paper and the micro brads were in my Christmas stocking and I am determined to use the whole paper pack up, cuz it is happy and springy and that's what comes next, right??? 

ETA:  ACCCKKK!  I just linked this and then realized it was supposed to have been tall and skinny this week and it would have been so CUTE like that.  {hanging head in shame for not following the directions}  Just pretend... ok??? {insert sheepish grin here...}

Mojo Joy

My Mojo Monday and Verve Diva Dare entry uses Verve's Better with You and Sip and Savor sets.

I used a little piece of flocked SU paper for the cup and the piece of snowflake.  "Joy" is part of the sentiment "Java Joy" from the Better With You set.  The snowflakes are from SU's Season of Joy.  I used a bit of Stardust pen highlights on and beneath the cup.  I've entered this in the Dutch Dare, Crazy4Challenges and Paper Sundaes Challenges.

Winter Wishes

I had a lot of fun playing with this week's Mojo Monday sketch and my new Winter Mittens set.  I pulled out some houndstooth digi dp from The Angel Company and the burgundy circle is from a Paper Studio mat pack.  I used an older TAC definition stamp on the tag and then stamped over it with sentiments from Winter Mittens.  The mittens were colored with copics and then cut out and popped up.  Flowers are from Prima.

Sweet Mojo

Here's my all time favorite Whimsy and Stars digi, "Faith Flowers", with this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  I colored Faith with copics and cut and emossed with a Classic Spellbinder's Oval.  The long scalloped rectangle in the back is also a Nestibilities die, and the flags and tag were cut freehand.  I edged the tag with just a little Cameo Coral ink.  It's stamped in Close to Cocoa with "Many Blessings" from the Verve set of the same name.  And I even pulled out some of my old narrow grosgrain ribbon for the bows.  I love how soft and sweet it turned out!

Mojo Monday on Saturday

Is it Christmas yet?  It seems like I can only wait until about July before I'm planning for Christmas and wishing for snow.  To help calm my winter cravings, I decided to make a Christmas card for this week's Mojo Monday challenge.  My wreath is made with a set called "Genuine Love" by Clear Dollar Stamps, and otherwise I think everything is just bits and pieces from my stash.  Here's a close up of some of the detail on the wreath...

Cute Christmas Kitty

My card for today's Clearly Inspired Challenge uses something "cute and cuddly" - a sweet Christmas kitty from Clear Dollar Stamps' Meowy Christmas set. I colored the kitty with Copics and paper pieced the stocking. I had fun using the Mojo Monday sketch for the layout, pulling out some Graphic 45 paper that I won as blog candy last year, and unearthing my snowflake Cuttlebug folder. I used a mixture of punches and nesties for the circles, and the sentiment (from CDS' Christmas Scriptures) was stamped straight and then clipped to fit around the circle's edge.

Thankful for You

Hello friends!

Today is challenge day over on the Clearly iStamp blog, and the theme is "Thanks". I used the Mojo Monday sketch as my jumping off point and pulled out an older stamp set (Home is Where the Hearth Is) and a single stamp (Teeny Stegosaurus Clear Acrylic Stamp) to play with.

I never know how much info people are looking for when they're blog hopping, so be sure to let me know if you ever have a question. For the most part I think we all just look at the pictures... :-)

Oh! I did use another set - Dino-Mite - for the footprints. And the cute little bone charm is from Clear Dollar as well. :-)

Sister...

Oh, I had so much fun putting this card together!! It reminds me of my three kids when they were little. My oldest had the long hair, my second always wore hers in two pony tails and little brother (who is now taller than both of them) just tagged along. When my daughter saw the card she did remind me that I should have given the little brother pink gloves, since he always had to wear the hand-me-downs. Seriously! I have pictures!! :-)

These adorable images are part of the Let's Go Skating set by Eat Cake Graphics that I got from Paper Garden Projects, and the paper is from PGP's Frosted Winter Paper Kit which has designer paper and cardstock and ribbon and embellishments. I just love it!!!! I can't wait to make more cards with it - there is so much paper I haven't used yet! LOL!!

The sketch is Julee's Mojo Monday sketch for the week, flipped on its side. It was just perfect for this little scene. Thanks Julee!!! BTW - for some reason the colors are showing up better on SCS... It's here if you want to see it a little better!

Mojo 111

My dd got this adorable High Hopes image through WRAK and let me color one. Isn't she sweet? I used the Mojo 111 sketch for the week and colored with Copics. The sentiment is from a Clear Dollar Stamps set called "Charlie Harvest". Pretty straightforward. Just the way I like it! Thanks for looking!!

Weekend Color Challenge Mojo

This was such a fun card to make! I used the colors from the Clear Dollar Stamp Weekend Color Challenge and combined them with the Mojo Monday sketch for the week... although I did take a *few* liberties. {wink} I see the designers do that all the time, so I hope it's not a problem!

I used the -oh, so cool- '68 Vette that was just released at Clear Dollar Stamps and combined it with some SU designer paper, some "manly" brads that look like screws and some staples, and I topped it off with a sentiment from the CDS set "Cool Ride".

Pooh

One of my daughters just loves Pooh - ummm, yup, the 18 year old!! I've had these stamps in her honor forever, but seldom use them. In fact, I just transferred them from foam backing to ezmount last year. Here I stamped the little postage stamp on a piece of Basic Grey background paper and colored Pooh & Christopher Robin with Prismacolors. After doing a reverse mask and distressing a little I sewed it to a little mat and assembled the card. Sketch is last week's Mojo94.

Forget Me Not!

It was Mojo Monday time again yesterday and I got brave and tackled one of the picnic baskets in my PaperTrey Vintage Picnic set.  I paper pieced the basket and highlighted it with Copics.  What a pretty look!  I pulled a little blue and red into the flowers since the dp had those colors in it.  So maybe they're forget-me-nots instead of daisies??? :-)

I used my Verve Circular Sayings for the sentiment, and matted it with my Blue Marvy Scalloped punch.  DP is by K&Co.

Digital Mojo!

Today's card was such fun!  I combined the blue/brown/bling challenge from Digital Tuesday with the Mojo Monday sketch and came up with this fun card.  I don't think I've ever made a card this size before... one that will fit in a business size envelope.

I colored my Party Squirrel image from Digital Stamp Oasis with Copics and cut it out with Nestibilities.  If you click on the picture, you'll see that I added dots to some of the balloons and glitter to another.  Gotta have that bling! :-)  The sentiment is a Studio G wood-mounted stamp inside of the oval frame of Verve's Sweet on You set.
