Rainy Day

It's a beautifully gray rainy day here. I love rainy days! I wouldn't have minded a little sun today, though, since we're having a garage sale... but, the Lord knows best, and I'm trusting Him to bring in just the right people.

In honor of the rain, I printed out the digital image of Susie with her flower umbrella from Digital Stamp Oasis and colored her with Copics. No particular sketch today. I just played with some scraps and made myself happy. :-) I think I ran out of my swirly ribbon again. Time for a visit to the local scrapbook store!!

Have a lovely day, and if it's sunny by you, send some my way. Thanks!!

Sammy's Friend

It's been Christmas in July for me this week! I was able to share the GraceWorks Beautiful Life Management Planners with a group of Moms during VBS and their theme was Christmas. I wish you'd been there! There were lights and garland and stockings, Christmas cookies, carols and even presents. What fun!

This image is a freebie that you can get here from Ellie of Digital Stamp Oasis for just a few more days, so be sure to get it soon! Seeing how proud Sammy is of his snowman makes me smile. I colored Sammy with Prismas & OMS and used a copic on the snowman, then I watercolored in some More Mustard to give them a "glow". Some eyelets, "messy stitching" and a sentiment from TAC finish off the card.

Think Snow!! :-)
Just Kidding!!

Digital Tuesday - Sweet Birthdays

I had so much fun playing with my prismacolors & oms this week! For this card I colored Sammy from Digital Stamp Oasis and made a quick birthday card for the Digital Tuesday challenge. After I colored Sammy, I used a small sponge dauber and sponged a little caramel around him to give a distressed look. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Summertime Friend

The Digital Tuesday challenge for this week was to make a Summertime card. One thing I love about summer is warm Summer rain showers. Actually they're usually downpours with thunder and lightning, but occasionally you get a soft shower, and that's what Susie Squirrel is playing in.

Let's see... I paper pieced Susie's flower and colored the center with Copics. Susie is colored with Copics as well and I used a white gel pen for highlights. Designer Paper is by K&Co.

Hope you had a happy 4th! Parade and picnic and fireworks for me!!

Digital Mojo!

Double Click to Enlarge Picture!

Today's card was such fun!  I combined the blue/brown/bling challenge from Digital Tuesday with the Mojo Monday sketch and came up with this fun card.  I don't think I've ever made a card this size before... one that will fit in a business size envelope.

I colored my Party Squirrel image from Digital Stamp Oasis with Copics and cut it out with Nestibilities.  If you click on the picture, you'll see that I added dots to some of the balloons and glitter to another.  Gotta have that bling! :-)  The sentiment is a Studio G wood-mounted stamp inside of the oval frame of Verve's Sweet on You set.

Clean & Simple Squirrel-y Thanks

Have you made a Clean & Simple card lately??  I love this SCS challenge!  I get to make quick, cute cards and not feel guilty that they aren't more elaborate.

My card today has Sammy Squirrel from Digital Stamp Oasis colored with Copics and matted on Kraft cardstock.  I popped up the image layer with dimensionals and mounted him on a Coral base layered with some K&Co designer paper.  I punched a tiny hole in the fold of the card and wrapped the card with some gold cording & finished it off with a couple of gold brads and a sweet sentiment from Verve.  Thanks for stopping by!!!

CPS118 - Puppy Love

I needed a jumpstart to my cardmaking, since I hadn't done any over the weekend, so I stopped by the Card Positioning System blog to check out the sketch of the week.  My card features a digistamp from Digital Stamp Oasis, some words from Clear Dollar Stamps and some Basic Grey fibers.  I never know what to do with fibers, but they're kind of ... umm... messsy.  Something little boys seem to like!

I have a pile of stamps here to play with, so hopefully my creative juices will start flowing and I'll be able to make a few cards.  Father's Day ones in particular!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Tricia

Thank You Teacher!

This new little digital image from Digital Stamp Oasis is the perfect fit for those end of the year teacher appreciation cards.  I actually cropped the image down a little and just used part of it on my card.  I punched the dp with the scalloped circle punch to give a spot to accent my sentiment banner (Sentiment by Verve), and I used a strip of red cardstock as my "ribbon".

Enjoy your day!!

DSO Challenge

Here's my card for the Digital Stamp Oasis Sketch Challenge & Blog Candy.  I used Susie Squirrel in the Rain and colored her with Copics.  I added a few stickles and some stitching for dimension.  The hardest part of the sketch was deciding what color brads to use!!

I hope you'll be able to play along with the challenge.  These images are so sweet and so much fun to color!! :)

Blessings!

Meet Rebecca Rabbit

Meet Rebecca Rabbit from Digital Stamp Oasis!  She hopped into my inbox this morning to tell me that I get to be a part of the Digital Stamp Oasis Design Team for the next six months.  How fun!  Ellie has some wonderful animal images available for download in her Etsy shop.  My favorite is the squirrel at the mailbox.  You'll be seeing him soon!! :)

This is the first digital stamp I've ever used, mostly because I was sure I couldn't figure out how to size them and print them, but it's really easy, *and* inexpensive, *and* it takes less storage space!   I opened the file in my word processing program, sized the picture down and printed it on Georgia Pacific 110# White.  It colored like a dream - and I used both Copics and Prismas/OMS just to check.  I absolutely LOVE the word set.  The font is so pretty and the stamps fit different size punches or nesties.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to hop over to the Digital Stamp Oasis shoppe and have a look around.  Blessings!  Tricia
