Wonderful Wintertime!

One of the fun things about the challenges was the opportunity to pull out older sets that are retired.  This sweet little set from TAC is a perfect example!  I also tried to use up older pads of patterned paper.  And I used LOTS AND LOTS of cardstock and copic ink. I need to restock both!!

Be sure to stop back tomorrow.  It's my first DT post for Stamp Simply and I can't wait to share it with you!

Blessings!

Cards 4 through 6!

Here I am again with cards 4 through 6 of the 100 cards in 100 days challenge.  I'm one card ahead... YAY!

Image:  My Favorite Things

Card 5:  A CAS card with June's Sketch for You to Try

Image: Whimsy and Stars
 Sentiment: The Angel Company

... and Card 6 following this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Image & Sentiment:  The Angel Company
I'm finding that I really don't know what stamps and sets that I have around anymore.  When I was exclusively Stampin Up, I knew all the sets in the catalog by name... for years and years!!  Now I have no idea what I have around... like this cute sentiment I'd forgotten about!   I've gotten used to monthly releases and using only what is new or out on my desk.   I'm thinking some stamp organization might need to be part of this 100 days as well!!

Red, White and Whoo!

This precious Angel Company set called You Whoo has been waiting to see ink, and when I saw the OZ-some sketch for the week, I knew it would be a perfect time to break it out.  I followed Kerry's Color Throwdown for the colors, and I think I'll write in at as an Any Hero card and send it to Operation Write Home.

TAC Favorites Blog Hop

What a fun day!  Head on over to the Savvy Projects blog and take a peek at all the "favorite" cards that are linked up, then grab your favorite stamps from The Angel Company and make a card or project of your own to add to the hop!  For my "favorite" card I used a stamp set illustrated by my favorite designer - Mabelle RO - called "Dear Friend".  The sentiment is something I say all the time, so it's a favorite, too.  And I'm starting to love polka dots... so there are a lot of those on my card as well.  I colored with copics - my favorite way to color - and used my new favorite Toodle Loo cardstock.  Aren't those colors yummy???

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I can't wait to go hopping and be inspired!!  (I'll attach the links below my signature if you want to go hopping from here!)

Blessings!

One of those friends...

Kerry's Color Challenge for this month was so pretty!  I used another of the Adorable Animals (TAC - retired) that I colored during Copic Training last year.  The dp is mostly from The Angel Company, with a little MME and a few scraps from my desk thrown in. :-)  The sentiment is also from The Angel Company.  Oh - btw - the inside of the card says... "...that make the heart smile."  Awwwwww....

Another Ducky!

I colored this particular little duck during Copic certification last year.  I just love those colors! The sketch is this week's "Card a Day" sketch from the Savvy Projects blog, the papers are MME Stella Rose and Gertie, and ... ummm... something else I had on my desk??? and the images are all retired TAC stamps.

Have a blessed day!

Adorable Duck

A couple of years ago, TAC had this adorable set of animals on a Spring special, and I missed it!!! Grrr. A friend sent me a few of the images to play with, and I've been hoarding them up until now, but this was a perfect fit with the Sketch of the Week on the Savvy Projects blog!  If any of you Angels happen to have this set, though, I'd love to get ahold of it!!

The sentiment is from Singing Praises, another of my favorites!   After being inspired by Marisa, I've been enjoying sending out a lot of my cards, so I'm trying to put sentiments on my card that make them very versatile and this one is just perfect!

Have a blessed day!

TAC Chalk Hop

I'm not sure I can remember the last time I had my chalks out!  But today's blog hop over at Savvy Projects is to make a card using your Angel Company stamps and chalks.  Check out all the inspiration!

For my card I stamped my flower and leaf image in VersaMark and then rubbed the chalk over them with a q-tip.... the old "Poppin' Pastels" technique.  I then stamped in some swirls and speckles to fill in my background.  The Friend stamp is from the Singing Praises set, which is current.  All of the other stamps are retired, I think, sorry!

Here's another Angel Company card that I made the other day, following this week's sketch challenge... mostly. :-)  It uses the hostess set "Thanking God" and the set "Showers of Blessing".

Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings!

A Card for Today

I changed my card up just a little from the TAC sketch for the week, and rotated it, but most of the sketch elements are still there.  This little bird from the Singing Praises set is so much fun to color!  I colored him with copics, and sponged in some pink clouds to go along with the free "Robyn" digi paper that I used for the background.  You can get the paper free on the TAC website.  I printed one 8.5 x 11 sheet of each pattern and I've really made quite a few cards from it!

Lucy's Christmas

Over on The Angel Company's Savvy Projects Blog, they are having a "Card a Day in the Month of May" challenge.  There is a sketch for each week and you use the same sketch all week long.  I'm going to try to play along, as much as I can, mostly using my TAC stamps, but probably with a few of the Whimsy and Stars digis in there, too... since she illustrates for TAC as well.  In fact this Lucy set is one of her stamp sets!

This card is my card for the 1st.  I was out of town yesterday, so I'll have to try to make two cards today. And I need to place an order today, because the Stamp of the Month is the Sunflower one that's on the TAC homepage and I love it!  I found one of my projects on the TAC home page too!! :-)  How fun!!  I feel *special*!!!!!!

If you need to place an order and don't have a TAC demo, let me know and I'll hook you up with someone!!

Blessings!

Too Cute!

I was sorting through my stamps this weekend, and found this adorable puppy that was part of a set from The Angel Company a few years back.  I always thought he was the sweetest thing, and when I saw Heather's sketch for this week, I knew he would be a perfect fit.

I chose the colors so I could play in Kerry's Color Throwdown.  What an easy way to put together a card!

Have a happy day!

A Pot of Gold

Hello Friends!

It's another Angel Company blog hop today, so I pulled out my Singing Praises set and watercolored this little birdie with Tombows.  The challenge for today's hop was to have a "Pot of Gold" on your card.  Or, in other words, to use Stitching, a punch, ribbon, a bow (or a button or a brad), the color green, and layers.

I'm also entering this in the Art Impressions Challenge to watercolor.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessings!

Flowers Galore

Greetings friends!

I took advantage of a few free minutes this afternoon to make a couple of cards to share.  The first one has a couple of Angel Company challenges in mind.  First the "Tune in Tuesday" challenge to use flowers, then Heather's Monday Sketch challenge.  Isn't this just the happiest flower?  It's an older set from TAC, and I don't even remember its name, but I love it!  I'm also entering this in the There She Goes challenge to use Kraft cardstock.

Then, staying with my flower theme, I made another card, this time using some new releases from Clear Dollar Stamps.  I used "Roses to Die For", "Cross Messages Additions", and the Stamp of the Month to make a card with these challenges in mind...

Pink Polka Dots for Cupcake Craft Challenges
and flowers for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.  (Actually, both of my cards qualify for this one!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Seeing Shamrocks!

When I saw today's Angel Company blog hop subject... Seeing Shamrocks... I was a little worried.  Even though my son was born on St. Patrick's day, I still don't have any stamp sets with shamrocks, and by the time I saw the blog hop post it was too late to order one.  So...  as necessity is the mother of invention, I looked through my Angel Company stamps to see what I could "alter" and I came upon this adorable lion holding flowers.  This was always one of my very favorite sets when I was a demo for the Angel Company...  I think I even have a picture of one of the cards I made with him on this computer.  Hang on.  I'll look.

Anyway, for today's "Seeing Shamrocks" card, I stamped the flowers again on another piece of cardstock, after stamping the image in Memento Black.  Then I cut out around the flowers and drew in some Shamrocks right over the top of them. I colored with Copics and Promarkers and my sentiment is from the Thousand Thanks hostess set.  My sketch is from the Paper Pretties Challenge, and my card has a four-legged friend (well, I think he looks friendly anyway!) for Charisma Cardz.
here he is in all his glory from a few years ago - with his flowers rather than shamrocks and pre-copics. ☺

Stars & Stamps Sketch

Hello again!  My card for today is actually being featured over on the Stars & Stamps blog for their sketch challenge.  I used the adorable singing bird from a set by The Angel Company called "Singing Praises" and the yellow cardstock is stamped with the "Quilt" background stamp by Impression Obsession.  I paper pieced the bird and colored the rest of the image with copics.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I have definitely...

...gotten my money's worth from this set!  The Angel Company has had a feature on their blog this month where there is a chance to link up your work using the featured set or one of the featured sketches.  I followed one of today's sketches, since I didn't have the set, and used Lucy again, along with another piece of the downloadable Robyn paper from TAC.  I still have a few pieces to use.  It's really gone a LONG way.  I've been surprised!

I'm entering this in the PaperPlay Challenge, too.  It has hearts and flowers, but it isn't a Valentine.

Thanks for stopping by!

More Lucy

My card for this week's Monday Sketch Challenge on Heather's blog uses the TAC set "Lucy", and an older retired set... but I don't remember the name.  The paper is from my stash and Lucy is colored with copics.  If you look hard (or click on the picture), you can see that there is a button on the ribbon on the left, so I'm entering it in the Tuesday Throwdown challenge, too.  ☺

Blessings!
