If you follow the GraceWorks blog you might remember that I've been reading the book "The True Vine" by Andrew Murray, and you'll understand why I just love this set by Deedee's digis. Being "in Christ" - realizing that we can do nothing of ourselves, coming to Him for forgiveness and salvation, and then abiding in Him minute by minute by minute. Daily. Hourly. What an amazing thought. When we are resting in Him there is nothing that can disturb us, because He gives us His thoughts, His peace, His patience, His joy, His love. Monday, September 27, 2010

Lots to Share!
Progress!!! :-) Yippee! I was able to put in quite a few hours on the stocking this week, especially yesterday, when I had the computer off all day. I did make a mistake in one section - some of you eagle eyed stitchers will catch it, I'm sure, but my dd doesn't mind, so I think I'll leave it. :-) My goal is to finish this by the end of November, so I really, really need to keep going. I figure that I'm between a quarter and a fifth done.
Just a little progress on "Patience" by Little House Needleworks... but I have to show you "Winter Whites" that my other dd is making me for Christmas. Isn't it bee - a - u - tiful??? :-) I hope she can still give it up when she's done with it!Saturday, September 25, 2010
I've had this Wildflower digi from DeeDee's Digis colored up since Monday, but I haven't had time to put together a card until today. I'm entering it in the following challenges...Stamp Scrap & Doodle to use stitching on your card, Crafting with Deedee's Digis color challenge of yellow orange and green (with a little brown thrown in!), Stamp Something's challenge to use fall colors, and the Card Patterns sketch challenge.

Is it Winter Yet?
It must be! Cuz the penguins have their hats and scarves on!!! :-) I made this card with the adorable new Sweet n Sassy digi "Festive Penguin", and the sentiment is from the "Winter Friends" clear set. Isn't he (or she?) sweet??!! A Happy Hello!
Happy Fall, y'all!! I have a sweet fall card to share with you for today's challenge over at Paper Garden Projects. The challenge is Halloween, but since I'm not a Halloween fan, mine is more sweet than scary. :-) I used the adorable Eat Cake Graphics set "Pumpkin Pals" and a sentiment from the set "TagLines". The designer paper is called Apple Cider....mmmmm.... Speaking of apples, I made the *best* gluten free Apple Krunch tonight for supper! But, I digress... After coloring the pumpkins with copics, I added highlights with my Prismacolor pencils. Then I pulled out some older stash... my striped Cranberry Crisp ribbon (I loved that color!) and my spiral punch. I love the dimension they add to the card! The card base is actually dark brown, rather than black... it must be my camera. Sorry! This card is just full of fall colors, so I'm also entering it in the challenge at Paper Sundaes. Don't you just love challenges!!Special Sneak Peek Day!!!

The cover is decorated with a snowman from the Snowman Wishes set and a smaller scalloped rectangle that I ran through my cuttlebug in the snowflake embossing folder. I also used a large eyelet to give the hole for the ring a little extra sturdiness.

Cross Stitch Update!

Fabric: ?? From my stash
Fibers: DMC
Date Stitched: 2008
Date Finished: 9-23-2010
This is my travel project right now... Little House Needleworks' "Patience" thread pack. It's a "slowly but surely" stitch, since I only work on for a few minutes here and there.
Then I have my start on the Dimensions Gold Collection Christmas stocking for dd. I'm trying to work on this a little more regularly as I would really like to get this done by the end of November. I'm hoping to get some sort of a needlework stand soon, though, if I can save some money for it. My hands are starting to hurt again from stitching, which they haven't done for awhile, and I'm 5 hours away from my chiropractor instead of 30 minutes like I used to be, so I need to find a way to keep my wrists and shoulders less "stressed" once they've been adjusted. What a Treat!

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Paper Garden Garden Walk! We're celebrating today with lots of "treats" and no "tricks". :-) Have you been hopping along through the Paper Gardener blogs so far? If so, you'll be looking for my "treat"... Here it is - TWIZZLERS.
Be sure to collect all the "treat" words (with the designer's name!) and send them in an email to custserv@papergardenprojects.com by midnight on Wednesday, September 22nd, to be entered in the draw to win some Eat Cake Graphics stamps!!
Speaking of Eat Cake Graphics, my little tag is made with one of their stamps as well! Cathy has them in sets and this one is from Pumpkin Pals. I filled a clear 3" square box with 2 packages of Peanut Butter M&M's (which will probably get eaten before I give them away!! LOL!) and tied them with a Willow organdy bow, wrapped with Papaya grosgrain ribbon to attach the tag. The dp is from the Apple Cider pack, and the sentiment is from the TagLines set. I love that set!!!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Now off you go to finish up the garden tour guide list! Hope you find some "Boo"tiful ideas.....

Sweet Smile

Today's card is just a simple one that uses the SCS sketch for the week. I used some designer paper from Me and My Big Ideas to help me choose my colors and then I colored a cute Jack 'o Lantern from the SNSS clear set "Sweet Pumpkin" for the main image. Isn't that a great sentiment?? I'll use it for a lot more than pumpkins, I'm thinking, and it's just one of a number in the set. Be sure to stop by the store and see the other fun choices for your autumn and winter crafting. Can you believe that Christmas stuff is already coming out in the stores?? Yikes!! I'd better get busy!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed day!

For You!
I had about 15 minutes to stamp this afternoon, so I whipped together a little tag for Deedee's Happy Monday challenge to attach to my niece's wedding shower gift. I used a digi by Deedee's Digis, a sentiment from the TagLines set, and copics to color.New CDS Digital set!
Hello friends! Sorry to have been missing in action this past week or so! I'm getting ready to do a homeschool show with GraceWorks and I've been busy shrinkwrapping and packing. Not much crafting going on right now! But today I have a simple little card made with the new Manger Lamb digital set from Clear Dollar Stamps. There are a number of digital sets being released today, and you can see them all here.
Here's a quick way to decorate the inside of the card, using one of the digital sentiments in the set.Monday, September 06, 2010

A Doozy of a Sketch!!
Sweet n Sassy is the sponsor for the Card Positioning Systems sketch challenge this week and wow! This sketch was a doozy!! See???
I pulled out my newly released clear set called A Cocoa Kind of Christmas for the sentiment, and used the Cheese for Cocoa digi as well. I actually colored this with copics from the class boxes at Copic certification a few weekends ago, so I'm not exactly sure of the colors. I'm sure that they are written down somewhere, cuz I loved the color combo!! :-)Magnolia Candy Supreme

Holiday Happiness
"The cow says 'moo', the sheep says 'baa', three singing pigs say 'la, la, la'..." Did anyone else read that book to their little ones?? I think it's by Sandra Boynton. Anyway, that is what this fun Eat Cake Graphics stamp that I got from Paper Garden reminds me of, well that and a rousing rendition of "O Christmas Tree" which makes this card perfect for the Bah Humbug Challenge and the Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Challenge for a Christmas card. :-) Aren't they just the sweetest? I made my card to fit into a small business envelope, because this image is really quite tall, but other than that the card is fairly clean and simple. I stamped the Animal Stack on watercolor paper, watercolored with Tombow markers and then trimmed. The stamp on the top half of the background is the Quilt cover a card from Paper Garden. The paper and ribbon is also from PGP. The sentiment is from a Clear Dollar set called Jingle All the Way.Chocolate Please!
Here's a just for fun card using another of Deedee's Digis. This is from the set "Sweetest Treat" and I had to buy it because I just *love* that font! I may just have to go buy the font, too!! :-) This card started out following a sketch challenge... but then it morphed into a quilt with pretty ribbon. Not exactly a traditional fall card... but I like it. :-)Friday, September 03, 2010
Sew Prayerful
Hello friends! Today's card uses one of my favorite Cocoa digis Sew Happy Cocoa. I think I like him so much since I love to cross stitch and quilt. And isn't that sentiment from the new clear set Prayerful Thoughts perfect? I followed the turquoise/orange/white colorway from the No Time to Stamp color challenge and added some pretty lace from Grandma. And I even found a buckle in my stash. How fun!
