I played along with the Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch for this week, using my sweet little Flower Girl digi from Whimsy and Stars. I had to, of course, dive into the Angel Company order that I had just received and pull out some paper and ribbon to play with. Then I added a sentiment from The Angel Company, too. Oh! Did you know that our dear Mabelle from Whimsy and Stars has a brand new rubber stamp set that The Angel Company is sneak peeking just now? It is *too cute*!! I was blessed to win a TAC gift certificate in a challenge that I entered a few weeks ago and that set is high on my list... but the new catalog comes out soon and I know that Mabelle will have other sets in there, too. So, I guess I'll just wait and see!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Using Up My Scraps
I have two cards for you today since I had time to play in my crafty corner yesterday! How fun! I grabbed some remnants of matching dp that I had on my desk and decided that they would be my inspiration for each card. First I made this birthday card with the Molly's Cupcake digi from Whimsy and Stars. I colored Molly with Copics and Promarkers, and sponged around her with some Mustard ink while she was still in the Nestibilities die. The embossed piece under her was already done and sponged, and the flowered layer was already matted, so I just cut out my kraft and text dp, layered on the backing and stamped "happy birthday" from the Vintage Picnic Basket set from PTI.
I'm entering Molly in these challenges...
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Delightfully Simple with a Kids theme
Everybody Art - Happy Birthday
Cupcake Inspirations - Photo with cupcakes and flowers and yellow and pink (although my pink turned to red!)
My second card follows the fun sketch at Card Positioning Systems, and uses one of the new sets from Clear Dollar Stamps called Ladybug Hugs. It's colored with copics again, and just has a little bit of paper piercing, cuz my sewing machine was upstairs and I didn't want to take the time to set it up. ;-) The sentiment is cut out with one of the tags from the Tabs and Tags dies that I just love. I'm going to enter it in the Stamp With Fun - spring challenge, too.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings!

Autumn with Cocoa
One of the best things about digis to me, is that I can print out a sheet of them at a time, one of each one that catches my eye. Then, when I have a minute, I can color one and make a card. Today, I saw this little "Harvest Cocoa" digi all ready to use and knew it would be perfect with the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. Just a side note... when I print out my digis, I try to be sure the largest side is under 2.5". That way I can usually use them with my next to largest nesties. Today's Ways to Use It challenge on SCS is to use buttons, which worked into the sketch perfectly, as well. I simply added some sponging and a little faux stitching and it was done!
BTW, Harvest Cocoa is also part of the Autumn Lovin' Cocoa clear stamp set available at Sweet n Sassy as well. Don't you just love options!! :-)

Vintage Cup of Joy

I sat down tonight to put together a quick "vintage" card for the weekly challenge over a the Crafting with Deedee's Digis blog. I used the Cup of Joy digi and a sentiment... that I can't remember what set it is from! Sorry! My sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches, and my vintage tool of choice (although the challenge didn't require one!) was an old SU Script background stamp that I used to make the "background paper".

Sweet 'n Sassy Christmas!
Hello friends! We had so much fun at the DT Chat Night! One of our challenges tonight is to make a Christmas card with non-traditional colors, so I inked up the adorable newly released clear set, O Christmas Tree, and followed Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch #10, to make a blue and brown card. Merry Christmas!! LOL!!Blessings!

Tuesday Morning
Good Morning!!I have a card to share with you today that uses the new Smell the Flowers clear set from Sweet and Sassy. It's also available as a digi, which is nice if you like smaller flowers... :-) I'm enjoying participating in the Tuesday Morning Sketches this month, so I chose sketch #5 as my jumping off point. The spin for this week was to use something that reminded me of summer. Actually my favorite part of summer is late summer, when it's just heading into fall. I love the flowers, the colors, and the look forward to fall and winter.
I hope you're having a blessed week!
