Sending Birthday Wishes

Here's my card for today, using another of the Whimsy and Stars digis that I colored the other night.  This is Sending You Luv , and the greeting is from Verve.  I can enter my little bear in lots of challenges today! I got my sketch inspiration from Truly Scrumptious, and I used embossing for Teddy Stampers.  Digital Tuesday's challenge is "For the Kids", and for  Craft Your Passion you need to use a bear.  How fun!

I hope to have another of my precolored images made into a card for tomorrow. Hope you'll stop back!

Blessings!

A True Friend

I played along with today's sketch challenge on Splitcoast using this sweet digi from Whimsy and Stars, and a sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps.  Coloring is with Copics and dp is from PaperTrey.

I'm entering this in the Card Cupids challenge for a funny card as well, since the dancing egg always makes me giggle. :-)

Blessings!

A Productive Afternoon!

I was busy, busy, busy in my stamp room this afternoon, playing in some challenges.  What fun!
My first card is with my daughter's digital set, "Little Sheep".  If you haven't visited her K'nK Designs store, you're missing out!  She has some adorable digis!!!

Challenges:
Polkadoodles - spring
Totally PaperCrafts - Cuddly & Cute

My next card uses the new Clear Dollar set "Hydrangea".  I stamped the Hydrangea lightly over the background paper in the first layer, and used one of the gorgeous sentiments and a crocheted flower for my focal point.  This card is for the inspiration challenge on Splitcoast.

And last, but not least, is this clean and simple card using the Clear Dollar Set "Cross Messages".  I think this one would be a great card for a guy, since it is only "lightly" embellished, so I'm entering it in the Stampin B's Design Team challenge for a masculine card.  It's also my entry for That's Krafty Thursday.

I have so many more cards that I'd love to make, but I'm probably not going to see my stamping table again until Tuesday, so I'll see you then!

Blessings!

A Pot of Gold

Hello Friends!

It's another Angel Company blog hop today, so I pulled out my Singing Praises set and watercolored this little birdie with Tombows.  The challenge for today's hop was to have a "Pot of Gold" on your card.  Or, in other words, to use Stitching, a punch, ribbon, a bow (or a button or a brad), the color green, and layers.

I'm also entering this in the Art Impressions Challenge to watercolor.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blessings!

Using Up My Scraps

I have two cards for you today since I had time to play in my crafty corner yesterday!  How fun!   I grabbed some remnants of matching dp that I had on my desk and decided that they would be my inspiration for each card. First I made this birthday card with the Molly's Cupcake digi from Whimsy and Stars.  I colored Molly with Copics and Promarkers, and sponged around her with some Mustard ink while she was still in the Nestibilities die.  The embossed piece under her was already done and sponged, and the flowered layer was already matted, so I just cut out my kraft and text dp, layered on the backing and stamped "happy birthday" from the Vintage Picnic Basket set from PTI.

I'm entering Molly in these challenges...

Tuesday Morning Sketches - Delightfully Simple with a Kids theme
Everybody Art - Happy Birthday
Cupcake Inspirations - Photo with cupcakes and flowers and yellow and pink (although my pink turned to red!)

My second card follows the fun sketch at Card Positioning Systems, and uses one of the new sets from Clear Dollar Stamps called Ladybug Hugs.  It's colored with copics again, and just has a little bit of paper piercing, cuz my sewing machine was upstairs and I didn't want to take the time to set it up. ;-)  The sentiment is cut out with one of the tags from the Tabs and Tags dies that I just love.  I'm going to enter it in the Stamp With Fun - spring challenge, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

One in a Million

It's sketch challenge day over on SplitCoast, so I snuck down to my craft room and printed off this sweet digi from Whimsy and Stars.  The little lamb is supposed to be holding an Easter Egg, but isn't it cute colored as a little ball?  I have a lamb set from Elzybells that had this sweet sentiment and I thought it just fit.  A few design notes... the clouds are cut from some quilt batting that I had in my craft closet, the little brads are "micro brads" from Clear Dollar Stamps, and my little lamb is colored with Copics.   And... since I used Kraft cardstock... I'm sneaking this under the wire into the Spotted Chick's "That's Krafty Thursday" challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Wednesday!

Card Patterns Sketch Challenge

When I saw today's Card Patterns Sketch, I thought it would be a perfect layout for this Scripture verse (from Clear Dollar Stamps new Scriptures of Peace set) that I used as the basis for today's devotional over on the GraceWorks blog.  I must have had the sketch turned backwards and upside down in my mind, but I think you can still "see" the sketch in the final card.

Thanks for dropping by today.  May you know Him who gives perfect peace.

Seeing Double!

I played along with the SplitCoast Sketch Challenge this afternoon, using "Molly's Cupcake" from Whimsy and Stars again.  Have you been over to the Whimsy and Stars blog yet??  There's lots of inspiration with Molly from the Guest Design Team *and* Mabelle is going to be giving away two of the Molly digis!  Don't miss it!  My sentiment is from the Flourishes set "TagLines" and I'm entering this card in the Flourishes challenge, too... for real or faux stitching.  I have a little of both on this card!

I made my card using some dp that I fell in love with at when our LSS was having their Going Out of Business sale last month, and I pulled Copics to match the colors in the paper.  The sentiment is on part of a tag from the Spellbinders Fancy Tag set.

Blessings!

Molly's Birthday Wishes

Oh, I just love Mabelle's drawings!  Here's a new addition to the Whimsy and Stars lineup available today.  Her name is Molly, and she has a cupcake for your favorite friend - whether or not it's their birthday!  I can see her with sentiments like, "You're the sweetest friend", or "Just for You", or "You make life sweet".

Something fun that I did on the sentiment...  After  cutting it out with the long scalloped rectangle die, I sponged the kraft cardstock with Memento Desert Sand ink.  Then, with the cardstock still in the die, I added "splatters" (just small and larger dots) with my white gel pen.  It gives it a cute whimsical look that matches the feel of Mabelle's images.

Don't forget to look at all the other fun spring images in the shop while you're there!

Flowers Galore

Greetings friends!

I took advantage of a few free minutes this afternoon to make a couple of cards to share.  The first one has a couple of Angel Company challenges in mind.  First the "Tune in Tuesday" challenge to use flowers, then Heather's Monday Sketch challenge.  Isn't this just the happiest flower?  It's an older set from TAC, and I don't even remember its name, but I love it!  I'm also entering this in the There She Goes challenge to use Kraft cardstock.

Then, staying with my flower theme, I made another card, this time using some new releases from Clear Dollar Stamps.  I used "Roses to Die For", "Cross Messages Additions", and the Stamp of the Month to make a card with these challenges in mind...

Pink Polka Dots for Cupcake Craft Challenges
and flowers for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.  (Actually, both of my cards qualify for this one!)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Seeing Shamrocks!

When I saw today's Angel Company blog hop subject... Seeing Shamrocks... I was a little worried.  Even though my son was born on St. Patrick's day, I still don't have any stamp sets with shamrocks, and by the time I saw the blog hop post it was too late to order one.  So...  as necessity is the mother of invention, I looked through my Angel Company stamps to see what I could "alter" and I came upon this adorable lion holding flowers.  This was always one of my very favorite sets when I was a demo for the Angel Company...  I think I even have a picture of one of the cards I made with him on this computer.  Hang on.  I'll look.

Anyway, for today's "Seeing Shamrocks" card, I stamped the flowers again on another piece of cardstock, after stamping the image in Memento Black.  Then I cut out around the flowers and drew in some Shamrocks right over the top of them. I colored with Copics and Promarkers and my sentiment is from the Thousand Thanks hostess set.  My sketch is from the Paper Pretties Challenge, and my card has a four-legged friend (well, I think he looks friendly anyway!) for Charisma Cardz.
here he is in all his glory from a few years ago - with his flowers rather than shamrocks and pre-copics. ☺

It's almost Spring!

I just had so much fun putting this card together!  The image is a digi by Mabelle at Whimsy and Stars called Dancing Egg & Chickie.  Isn't it a hoot??  I colored with copics and I used a gel pen to add in the lines on the egg.  I didn't embellish much, but I did add some brads to the chickie's little flower wreath, and I made a flower with the Boho Blossoms punch and the Martha Stewart frond punch.

My challenges are:
By the Cute & Girly (Springtime)
