Today's card (number 25 of 100!!!) is actually a project. I've been reading a lot lately and have been finding myself using a napkin as a bookmark, so when I saw the Flourishes challenge (FTTC174) to make something "From the Desk", I thought this would be perfect.
I watercolored my pansies (Flourishes) with Tombow markers , stamped a background with an old Script background stamp from SU, and added "Welcome Back" (Flourishes "Tag Lines"). I thought it was a fitting sentiment. Don't you??
The ribbon is caught between the two layers and I added the extra bow and twine because I wasn't putting the tag in the book itself.
Here is how my book will greet me. Isn't it pretty??
Thank you for stopping by! Your sweet comments make my day!

Cute idea! It's like a VCR I used to have that said Hello when I powered it on, lol.
Such a perfect sentiment! And a gorgeous card too.
Tricia, you are absolutely right...this beautiful creation compliments your book so perfectly! Thank you so much for joining us at the FTTC this week...hugs ~S~
WOW. those pansies look so real! Fabulous job coloring. Thanks for playing at FTTC. :)
I've been enjoying your card archives this morning -- and came upon this LOVELY & UNIQUE bookmark.
OMGOOODNESS!! I am TOTALLY inspired! I love to give books to my grandchildren and could include "cute" versions of your bookmark with a sentiment panel on the back containing a handwritten note! (Told you, I was inspired!!)
I, too, am a CHRISTian and am THRILLED to have discovered your blog!
