So... taking the idea of the snowy background, the trees and the stars, I pulled out my Vintage Picnic basket set (since I don't have the Holiday Button bits set or Pine's snowman set yet) and made a set of Thank You notes... which I will start writing in as soon as I schedule this post... LOL!!
(Colored with Copics, DP - Frosted Collection by Fancy Pants, Ballet Blue Ink, Large Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestibilites Dies)
And after I finish the thank you notes I can figure out how to spend the Christmas money that my wonderful husband gave me. He enjoys watching me try to decide what fun things I want most, since extra money that I have to spend on me (not on the kids or groceries or vet bills, etc., etc.) doesn't come around all that often. And I give him much amusement as I hem and haw. Should I get a new stamp set, or some copics, or a set of nestibilities? Wait - maybe I should get paper and buttons. But which ones? I can't afford them all! But what about that cross-stitch kit that I've really wanted? Or the Tiny Treats set? Which would I use more? But I really *need* some more cardstock, cuz I'm out of some colors - or maybe I should get some copic refills - but that's not as much fun...
And on and on it goes. Maybe I'll win a set tonight and it will cut down my options some!!
If you have a minute - I'd love to hear your favorite crafty Christmas gift!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Tricia

I love the colors on your card! This is one of my favorite sets. You've inspired me to sit down and get some thank yous done. :)
Great thank you card! Love your coloring! I had to LOL at your hemming & hawing -- sounds sooo like me! All your options sound perfect; I've got the exact same "problem" this year, but I know PTI gets my first Jan. order to complete my sets to earn my Anniv. set this year! ;-)
Super cute card!!
Oh my! This is adorable - great work and so creative.
Lovely! Your background is a perfect match to the quilt.
Love this! The blue background is soooo very pretty!
Love your quilt! The card is a great interpretation. And this year's crafty gift was a pink & purple lap quilt for my DGD. I'll be posting it after Jan. 10 on my blog. Stop by when you have a chance.

Oh great card AND quilt...that's some double the fun crafty work right there! Ohhh the choices, I know! I say get 1 Copic set, 1 multipack cardstock, and the set you want the mosssstest! Happy shopping! And for my fave crafty gift, hmmm, gotta just love a homemade stamped card, I think!
Your wall hanging is fabulous as is your card!! I cross stitch too, not as much now though with stamping!! I know what you mean about deciding, it isn't easy but most of my Christmas went to PTI, some will go to clothes, good luck deciding!! :)
What a beautiful quilt! I really like how you used the blue as the background on the card. Beautiful :)
Your thank you card looks so adorable! Love how you interpreted the quilt.
Very pretty card! Love the colorful basket & your take on the snowy background inspired by your quilt! :) TFS
Your inspiration piece is just gorgeous, and I love how you paper pieced the basket. Love it!
Love the quilt and the thank you card. I agree it is so hard to decide what to spend gift money on. Made some fleece blankets for the grand kids and daughter along with a Christmas apron for a little girl.
Wow - love the quilt and the card! No wonder you were inspired. Thanks for sharing!
That is a very pretty quilt and I can 'see' it in your card. A nice thank you and I think the recipient of such a pretty card will be thankful to have it.
What a pretty ! Love how you used a section of it for inspiration for your thank you note.
Lovely card and I love the snowman wallhanging. Looking forward to seeing what you choose to spend your money one.
