{Stamp Simply} Butterfly Thanks

Hi everyone!

I'm always on the look out for fun ways to use patterned paper on my cards, and the other day I ran across THIS card on Pinterest.  I loved the look and thought it would be perfect with some of my Simple Stories ! Am paper.

First I cut a piece of lightweight white cardstock into a square a little larger than the Labels One die I was going to use.  Then I attached strips of patterned paper to the square.  After I made the cut with my Labels One die, I cut my panel into three pieces, following the lines of the paper.  Then I embossed my white section and arranged the three pieces on my card front.  The two patterned paper pieces are popped up with 3D foam, but the white piece is flat against the card so I could pop up my butterfly instead.

To brighten up my card I added some enamel dots, a seam binding bow tied with a little bit of linen thread, and a sentiment from the JustRite Buttercup set, stamped on a little flag from the Spellbinders Petite Pennants Die set.

Have an Ice Day

Hi everyone!

I had "stamp for fun" on my list today, and I had this sweet Sugar Pea Designs set sitting on my desk looking longingly at the ink, so I decided to play along with the Sugar Pea Sketch Challenge. : )

I used some deep jewel toned patterned paper from Gina K's Season's Greetings pack along with Christmas Pine cardstock.  The image is stamped on Gina K's layering weight white cardstock in Memento Black ink and colored with Spectrum Noir markers and pencils.  I used a stitched circle die from MFT to cut out my main image, then matted it with Spellbinders Circle and Petite Scalloped Circle Dies.  I added some dots to the penguin's hat with a gel pen, and then stamped a sentiment on a Spellbinders label and tied it on with some twine.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

{Stamp Simply} Confidence

Good morning, friends!

I have a card to share today that uses papers from Simple Stories Enchanted collection.  Aren't they soft and pretty?  I stamped a Verve Plain Jane onto a Tear Drop Circle diecut and embellished it with some of the matching enamel dots.  So sweet!  I love this plaid ribbon, too.  It comes in all sorts of colors, but the lavender looked especially "enchanting" with this paper! : )

I was inspired by the Viva La Verve sketch for my layout.  It's definitely not the same... but it's close! : )

{Curtain Call Challenge} Taste and See

Hi everyone!

Just dropping by with a card for the current Curtain Call challenge!

I've had the urge to pull out some of my "old favorite" stamps lately, so I'm playing along with the daily challenges on SplitCoast and using stamps that are feeling neglected. : )  This sweet cupcake is one of my very favorites to color and it always looks whimsically elegant.  I combined it with a Verve Plain Jane to make a sweet and simple notecard.

{Stamp Simply} Love of my Life

I just love to watch all the birds around now!  They stop and sing on the porch railing right outside in front of my desk - robins, chickadees, goldfinches - even an occasional cardinal or blue jay.  It makes me happy!  Coloring birds makes me happy, too... especially ones like these from the Home Tweet Home set that are so sweet and simple!!  I pieced a background for my card with Simple Stories paper and added a focal image panel, a popped up heart and a tag.  I've fallen hard for enamel dots, so there are some of those on there, too! : )

Here's my Stamp Simply Shopping List for today...

{Stamp Simply} Home Sweet Home

Have you seen the Graphic 45 Home Sweet Home line?  I just love the country feel, the gorgeous deep colors and the lovely vintage artwork!

For my card today I used paper from the 8x8 Home Sweet Home pad and the back of one of the matching Ephemera cards.  These would be PERFECT for any of you that do pocket scrapbooking.  SO pretty!

The image and sentiment that I used is from the JustRite set Botanical Medallions and Banners.  I didn't even color the pretty flower today.  Just stamped it in a pretty Faded Brick color and added the sentiment over the top in black.  A couple Prima Sugar Dots in black pull out the black of the sentiment and leave the card basically flat to keep it easy to mail.

Here are the links to the Stamp Simply products I used...

{TCP Tuesday} Relax

Hi everyone!  DH and I were just saying today that we REALLY need to take a break and relax, so this little bear from TCP was calling my name when I went downstairs to make a card today.  The TCP Tuesday challenge this fortnight is "anything goes" - so I decided to just play with some of the bright MME My Girl paper and make a scrappy background and sentiment.  I colored PJ Bear with copics and paper pieced his tummy.

{TCP Blog Hop} On My Mind

My friends over at The Cat's Pajamas are having a Spring Blog Hop that anyone can join by using a TCP product on their card, so I colored up one of my favorite PJ Bear stamps and made a bright card with some MME My Girl paper.

I was inspired by the Share Joy sketch... although I didn't follow it completely.  It helped me use all of those luscious papers that I wanted to include. : )

Thanks for dropping by today.

{Stamp Simply} Sunshine and Shadows

I'm just loving the new On Trend patterned paper from My Mind's Eye!  Today I used a piece of the gradient coral paper and stamped it with one of my favorite background stamps for a subtle pattern.  Then I pulled out the Homespun die set and made a little Easter basket of flowers which I embellished with a pretty enamel bow.  The pennant is from the new Spellbinders - A Gilded Life -  Petite Pennants.  There are pennants in all different sizes and some sentiment flags, too!
