{Stamp Simply} A Living Hope

Stamp Simply always carries such a wonderful variety of pretty, graceful sets!  Today I used the Caring Thoughts Sentiments set and the Rejoice and Be Glad set, both by JustRite, on my card.  I stamped the Lily of the Valley stamp in a mossy green that matched my bow, then stamped the sentiment in black.  I stamped the butterfly on a separate piece of cardstock and trimmed it out, then attached it with a tiny bit of 3D foam.  I cut a length of seam binding that I could attach across the front, taping around the back of my white layer, then I made a double bow and adhered it to the strip of seam binding on the card with a glue dot.  I used a few pearl pretties and rounded the corners to make it a little softer feeling.

{TCP Tuesday} Be Where You Are

Greetings, friends!!

I had so much fun putting together this card for the TCP Tuesday Color Challenge!  I love companies that have challenges because it encourages me to use all the lovelies I've acquired from that company.  Today I inked up this sweet Up, Up and Away Penguin with his spring-y kite.  It won't be long now!! : )  I loved the look of this card by Christine - how she used the Framed Up die on its side and it worked perfectly as a little earth and sky background for my penguin.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Viva La Verve meets Color Throwdown

Just a quick post today! I played with the Viva La Verve sketch and the Color Throwdown colors for my card (but I think I'm an hour too late to enter the Throwdown...).  I used some older Kaisercraft Summer Breeze paper, dies from MFT and Verve, stamps from Verve's Each New Day set and some pretty seam binding.

{Stamp Simply} Through the Window

My card today was inspired by a card I saw that used the Tic Tac Toe die as a window.  What a great idea!  I found a piece of My Mind's Eye Notable paper that had a perfect cluster of flowers for the corner.  I cut the piece to fit under my "window" and matted it twice before layering it onto a 4.25" square card base.  I stamped a little greeting from the JustRite Hello Buttercup set onto a circle, then popped it up using the thin foam tape over a scalloped circle mat, and added some aqua rhinestones to finish it off!

{Viva La Verve} Happy Birthday

OK, so never use micro brads and sequins as little embellishments on your card unless you want it to look like those fake bullet hole decals that you can put on your car...

Just sayin'

I'll still put it in the VLV challenge.  I used the sketch and it's sort of cute if you forget about the gunshots... :)

I'll try again tomorrow! LOL!!

{Stamp Simply} In My Thoughts

My card today features an image from a new to me stamp company named Chapel Hill.  It was from a cling rubber set that Sharon has in the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store called Angle Tulips and the detail is gorgeous, isn't it?  I was planning on coloring it, but it just seemed to fit this card simply stamped in kraft ink.  The paper is from My Mind's Eye Honey, and the sentiment is from a newer Justrite set called Caring Thoughts Sentiments.  Soooo pretty!!  I used some lace, some enamel dots, a pretty oval die, and a pierced die to add interest and texture to the card.

Hello Bear!

Isn't this image SO sweet?  It's from a clear set by Lili of the Valley that I won in a challenge on SplitCoast last year and I hadn't stamped with until now.  There is a whole sheet of adorable images, so I'm sure you'll be seeing them on and off here!  The little sentiment is framed with the Charming Oval die set by Verve.  It is such a pretty way to set off a small sentiment!

{Viva La Verve} Praying for You

I have MISSED the Viva La Verve Challenge!  I combined today's sketch with the colors from the VSN Mini challenge on SplitCoast to make this card.  I used the pretty set "Wonderfully Made" and colored the flower and sentiment with Spectrum Noir Markers.  I used a gel pen to add some detail to the flower and a few Doodlebug enamel dots for embellishment.

(Deconstructed Sketch 187}

Have you ever started making a card for a challenge and when it was finished it TOTALLY didn't fit the challenge anymore?  I started this card with the intent of using the Deconstructed Sketch and some Verve stamps to make a Valentine card for the challenge on the Verve blog.  Hmmm...  I have hearts on it and I'm going to send it to a friend for Valentine's Day...  Does that count???? : )

LOL!   I love this MME My Girl paper.  It is so happy.  You know, I used to have a hard time using bright colors and now it seems like I'm drawn to them.  I guess we all change over time, don't we??

{Stamp Simply} Love Note

I must be in a Valentine mood today because this charming alligator caught my eye when I was looking through my supplies.  I used paper and die cuts from the Kaisercraft Hello Sunshine pad and the alligator is a Kaisercraft Hello Sunshine Collectable die cut. The sentiment is from the JustRite set Just Typed.  The die cuts made this such an easy card to put together, and what child (or adult) wouldn't love a love note from such a cute critter!! : )

{Mojo Monday} Taste and See

I had to clean my stamping desk today, and as a reward for good behavior I got to make a Mojo Monday card with one of my new Verve Plain Jane's that came to live with me over Christmas.  I used some MME My Girl paper and a couple of MFT dies, along with a little button and twine and some Doodlebug enamel dots.  I also used some Gina K Designs Cherry Red cardstock and ink.  Have you tried their ink?  I really, really like it.  It works with clear stamps SO nicely!!

Thanks for dropping by today!

{Stamp Simply} Christmas Monday!

Good morning, friends!

At the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, we're going to be celebrating the first Monday of each month with some Christmas inspiration.  Fun, huh??  The eight inches of new snow outside my house was the inspiration for my CAS card today.    I made a frame with my oval dies and stamped it with a JustRite background stamp.  Then I used two more JustRite sets for my focal image and sentiment.  I wrapped it with ribbon and twine and added an enamel dot before popping up my layers on a kraft card base.

** I just noticed that my sentiment set sold out.  Sorry!  I've linked an alternative with the same gorgeous scripty font, since it is SO pretty!! : ) **
