{Our Daily Bread Designs} Stained Glass Blessings

Hello, dear friends!

It's the last day of April and I have one more card for you as a Guest Designer for Our Daily Bread Designs.  How fun it has been to feature their Scripture based sets and other beautiful products!!  Thank you so much Kelley and Lisa and the Bread Basket gals for letting me join you!

The design for today's card has been bouncing around in my brain for a week or so now. I wanted to make a little "stained glass" background with bits and pieces of the papers in the Heart and Soul paper pack, so you could see how pretty they are.  After I made my background, I used the largest Antique Labels and Border die to cut and emboss a piece of white cardstock.  After sponging around the edges, I stamped the image and greetings from Birthday Blessings while the paper was still in the die.  Then I added just a touch of color with my copics.  Soft, sweet and lacy.  What a beautiful set!

Thank you so much for dropping in today!  Blessings!

{Mod Squad} Gingham Bird

Hi everyone!

I had a few minutes today to play in my stamp room, so I pulled out my GinaK Stamp TV kits and put together this quick and easy card for the Mod Squad Challenge to use gingham.

I used the stamp sets Little Branches and Autumn Blessings which were both in previous Stamp TV kits, but can now be purchased separately.  The paper, cardstock and ribbon were all part of the kits as well.  I cut the little tag out with an MFT Blueprints die, embossed my white layer using the CB Swiss Dots folder and added a little gold cord for bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

{Stamp Simply} Daisy Thanks

I used one of my favorite Justrite background stamps for today's card - Rose Garden. I really like the way it makes it look like I used a pretty tone on tone patterned paper. : )  The pretty flower that I've spotlighted is from a small JustRite set called Hello Daisy.  I stamped it on a piece of cream cardstock and colored it with copics before cutting out a section of it with my Spellbinders Floral Oval Die.  While it was still in the die I stamped a few swirlies with a stamp included in the JustRite Botanical Medallions and Banners set.  I was keeping my card simple, so besides my greeting from Verve's Joy for the Journey set, my only other additions were a few Champagne colored rhinestones.  Sweet and simple.

{Our Daily Bread Designs} Counting Sheep

Hello friends!

I'm back today with a sweet and simple card featuring the ODBD set The Shepherd.  I just love this saying, don't you?  My daughter actually bought me a sign with the saying on it for Christmas a year or two ago.  I have it sitting in my bathroom where I can see it if I happen to get up in the night.  It is the perfect reminder that My Good Shepherd is in full control of all the things that are bothering me and I can trust Him and rest in His peace.

I kept today's card very simple... no coloring at all!  The pretty diecut shape is from the ODBD Custom Die Set Antique Labels and Border Dies and the paper is from the Heart and Soul Collection

Thank you again for stopping by!

Blessings!

{Stamp Simply} Everyday Dress

Today's Stamp Simply card features the coordinating "Anna Marie" paper and "Everyday Dress" stamp set by  Prima.  I stamped the dress in Versafine Black on Ranger Watercolor paper and then used my Distress Markers and a small paintbrush of water to add some color. The sentiment is from the JustRite set "Hugs and Kisses".  I stamped it on a Scalloped Oval diecut that I had sponged with ink before removing from the die.  After assembling all of my layers, I adhered them to the card base, and added some twill and a single hot pink rhinestone as embellishments.  Quick and easy!!

{Our Daily Bread} Birthday Pansies

Good morning!  Would you like a cup of tea?  I'm so enjoying my time as a guest designer for Our Daily Bread this month, and today I have a tea and flower themed birthday card to share.

I used my distress markers to watercolor the sweet pansy-filled teacup from the Our Daily Bread Designs Birthday Blessings set for today's card.  I added a strip of paper from the Heart and Soul Collection across the bottom to hold my greeting, then camouflaged the seam with some pink seam binding.  The black mat makes the picture stand out a little more and the rhinestones draw your eye from the buds in the saucer to the flowers themselves and then up to the corner of the card.  A simple touch to complete the look!

Have a blessed day!

{Deedee's Digi's} Monthly Challenge

Hi everyone!

My card today is for Deedee's Digis' monthly challenge.  If you make a card with this month's featured set, you get next month's set FREE!  Can't beat that, can you??

I kept my card super simple.  I colored the owl pair with copics and cut them out with my Stitched Circle dies (mft) and made the mat with Large Circle Nestibilities.  The paper is Kaisercraft Summer Breeze from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and the little tag was cut with the Framed Up 2 Cut Ups (tcp).

{ODBDSLC197} The Strength of my Heart

Hello friends!

I just got back from vacation, but I really wanted to play along with this week's ODBD Shining the Light Challenge to use Rain or Water or the color Aqua, so I squeezed in some time to play.

For my aqua card, I paired this beautiful verse from ODBD's Psalm 73 with the Violet stamp, and they go together so sweetly!  After I colored my violets with copics, I cut the violets and some leaves out of the main image and stacked them a little differently to make a cluster on the edge of my diecut verse.  I used the largest Antique Labels die for the verse and then cut around it with my scissors to make the larger kraft mat.  Then I layered it over my "signature" dotted ribbon and finished off my card base with some Kaisercraft Spring Bloom paper and Latte Pearls.

Thanks for stopping by!

{Stamp Simply} Thank You

Good morning, friends!

I have a card in calm and soothing colors this morning, after my bright and cheery one from yesterday.  The pretty paper is from the Hello Pastel pad and this piece has such lovely muted colors to work with!  I cut a flower from a couple of different patterns using the Blooms Three dies, and then added a Sprig below and a pink rhinestone on top to finish it off.  I stamped my sentiment (from JustRite Seeds of Summer) on a strip of white cardstock that I separated from the patterned paper by a strip of 1/8" velvet ribbon that I attached with ScorTape.

Thank you so much for dropping by today!  Here are the Stamp Simply products I used on my card today...

Blessings!

{Our Daily Bread} My Shepherd

Hello friends!

Aren't you longing for spring?  Spring colors, spring flowers, spring sights like this precious little lamb from the ODBD set The Shepherd?  I had so much fun watercoloring this image with my Distress Markers.  Doesn't she have a sweet face??  I love the verse, too.  "The LORD is my shepherd."  The God of the universe is my guide, my protection, my caretaker.  He provides my food, quenches my thirst, leads me in the best paths, offers me His protection, tends my wounds, seeks me when I'm lost, and restores me when I've fallen.  How could I want anything more?

Unfortunately, I often wish I could have the food just one pasture over, I choose to drink from polluted puddles rather than from His clear streams, I stray from His right paths into the dangerous rocks and then complain about the wounds I incur...  I am so thankful that He loves me and restores me when I repent and turn to Him - time and time and time again!!

My card is really very simple.  I stamped the image on watercolor paper in Versafine Archival ink and then watercolored it with my Distress Markers.  I layered it on a yellow mat and stitched around the edges, Then I stamped my sentiment and die cut it, sponging it while it was still in the die.  I cut both the sentiment and the pretty scalloped border with the ODBD Antique Labels and Border dies, and then I edged the border with a thin piece of cardstock and a touch of velvet ribbon.  I centered the sentiment on top and attached it with pop dots, then attached the whole card front to my card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by and for your loving comments.  You truly are a blessing to me!

{Stamp Simply} Confident

Is it Spring yet??  I must be thinking so, because the cards I'm posting today and tomorrow are all in spring colors and have FLOWERS.  I can't wait!! : )

My card for today is based on last week's Viva La Verve sketch, with a little tweaking.

I started with a layer of the pretty flowered paper from Prima's Anna Marie 6x6 pad, then added another layer cut with my Spellbinders Rectangle and Scalloped Rectangle dies.  I really wanted to add some softness with my seam binding bow, so I switched the other elements in the sketch to the other side.  I stamped Philippians 1:6 - a Verve Plain Jane on another piece of patterned paper and then stamped a flower cluster from the Anna Marie Everyday Dress stamp set over the verse to carry through the flower theme.  I scattered a few Latte pearls and added some stitching for the finishing touch.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

{Our Daily Bread} Grow in Grace

I am SO privileged to be able to Guest Design for the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog this month!  I so enjoy working with their beautiful Scripture stamps!  My card for today is a simple one.  I colored the poppy from Mother's Day with copics, then framed it with a mat of light green cardstock stamped with the verse from Grow in Grace. I stamped my sentiment on a hand-cut banner and added another banner to set it off, then clustered a trio of buttons in the corner.

I love the reminder to grow in grace.  To plant ourselves firmly in God's righteousness through Christ and then grow to be more like Him.  Full of love, peace and joy.  Patient, gentle and self-controlled... kind, faithful and a lover of what is good.  That is what I would like my character to display, wouldn't you?

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Blessings!
