Bad Blogger - Good Blog Candy!

This has been a *crazy* week for me, and I've been a bad blogger.  I haven't even stamped once!  But I do have some wonderful blog candy to show you that Stacy is giving away.  Check it out here!!  Hopefully I'll have time to make a card or two this weekend.  See you then!

Lucky's Sledding

In honor of the snow flurries we're supposed to have in the next day or two I made a card featuring Lucky sledding for the Friday Sketcher challenge.  I doubt you can see it in the picture, but Lucky is covered with embossed glittery snowflakes and the punched out snowflakes are glittered as well.

Happy Winter! :)

Two Posts in One Day!

Figured I'd better post while I could, since I'm going to be pretty busy tomorrow. :)  Here's my "Halloween" card for the Spoonful of Sugar challenge.  Probably more of a fall card, but I think it will pass! :)  I colored with my three copics, my SU markers and my prismacolors.  The dp is retired SU and the sentiment is Studio G.  The sketch is actually the same as the last card, just switched up a bit.   OK - time to clean up now!  Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes

This little Penny Black puppy carries lots of birthday wishes.  He's colored with prismacolors and OMS and my Stampin Up markers, and I used my new white Signo gel pen for the highlights on his nose and ears.  The sketch is compliments of the Just Christmas and Birthday Cards blog.

It felt so good to create something tonight, and I still have an hour to play in my stamping room!! :)  Yippee!!

Thanks for stopping by!

New Challenge

Well, I did it. I followed one of the layer upon layer sketches that are favored by European stampers and actually like it!! The little monkeys and blanket are from Scrapmagasinet, and the sketch is this week's challenge on the Scrapmagasinet DT blog. Aren't they fun?? I love the look of all the designer paper together! :) The monkeys are colored with my SU markers and popped up on their little blanket, and the saying is from The Angel Company. Thanks for stopping by!

Fall-ish Tilda

Tilda makes an appearance tonight all dressed in her autumn colors.  I used some of my favorite colors... mustard, burgundy, rust... aren't they just *rich*??? :)  I colored Tilda with my SU markers.  Wish I had a few Copics for her face.  Maybe someday!  The background is CC Designs Polka Dots Background stamp.  I used my Threading Water punch on the rust layer, then pierced below it and added a little Stampin Up flourish.  The word is from PaperTrey Ink's Mixed Messages - a set I have to get since this was just an image someone stamped for me, and I love how it fits in the flower!!

Hope you're having a wonderful fall.  We had caramel apples tonight, so it is "officially" fall here!! :)  Thanks for stopping by!!

Christmas Cards

I was working on a sketch for the Christmas and Birthday card blog and my cards kept taking on lives of their own.  I hate it when that happens!! :)  Well, I at least have two more Christmas cards for my stash!! :)

Have a wonderful weekend!!

What can yooooooooou do??

The card candy that I received in the recent challenge that I wrote about included this cute little owl, tree and saying.  My job was to use the card candy to make a card to send on to the next person in my group.  It was SO easy - since all the work was already done for me.  All I needed to do was attach the different piece to the card base and add some faux stitching lines.  What fun!!  Thanks for the candy, Carole!!

It's Autumn...

It's autumn!  Leaves are falling, it's chilly, and there are fresh orchard apples at the farmer's market.  Mmmmmmmmm..... :)  I watercolored Tilda with my SU markers and added some depth around the edges with my linen distress ink pad.  The sentiment is from TAC and the layout is from SplitCoast.  I've heard of other gals starting with the first SplitCoast Sketch and going all the way through to the current one - I think maybe I'll try that next year.  They are fun sketches and usually pretty simple.

Have a wonderful day!

Blog Candy & Sketch Challenge Blog

Here's a fun stop to make if you're looking for blog candy and some sketches.  Karin is starting a new challenge blog that is only for birthday and Christmas cards.  Aren't those always needed??  What a great idea!  Swing by and see for yourself!

Lilly-Belle

My blogging friend, Heather, sent me a few High Hopes images so I could play along with the new High Hopes Blog Challenges.  The one for this week is to use brown, blue and green.  I colored Lilly-Belle with Prismas and OMS and added some faux stitching.  She's mounted on various pieces from my K&Co mat pack and finished off with a PaperTrey sentiment that I thought was just perfect for her!! LOL!

Wild Animals

So does this qualify for the wild animal challenge on Dutch Dare??  He looks pretty wild to me. :) I was using up some retired Brocade dp by Stampin Up to make some card candy for a friend, and decided that I needed some for myself! :)  Not sure what card candy is??  I'll post a picture of it tomorrow - well, hopefully.  This is "reroof the house, run a garage sale, have friends here for a few days" weekend at my house, so it's going to be a little crazy!!

Here's an up close shot of mousey so you can see the coloring a little better.   Although for some reason you can't see the stickles on the flower.  Oh well!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

CCT Sparkle

Isn't this a fun picture??  I love the little meecy mouse in the middle who's jumping for his Life Saver.   He makes me smile.  I colored the image with prismas and OMS and added some sparkle on the tree branches for the Cute Card Thursday challenge.  Then I tucked a little tag in the corner, so I can play in the House Mouse Challenge, too!! :)  The cardstock is SU and Basic Grey, and did you notice the distress ink again?  Told you I was loving it!!

Have a wonderful day!
