It's Stamp TV Kit day on the blog hop! AND NorthWoods 2, which is SUCH a great masculine set. Haven't the projects you've already seen been amazing???
I'm going to start with my Birthday Essentials Stamp TV Kit card. My patterned paper pack is in the mail, so I pulled out an older pack - Red Carpet - for today's card.
And yes, that focal panel is a tiny bit unstraight. Sigh. I didn't notice until it was too late. So just pretend it was supposed to be tilted, ok??? : ) My card was very easy to put together. I cut out a white focal panel with my Spellbinders pierced rectangle dies, then stamped the balloons and sentiment in black. I used the front cover of the paper pack to provide the little bits I used to paper piece the balloons. Then I matted it with Red Hot cardstock and layered it on a piece of patterned paper from the pack, backed with a piece of Dark Chocolate cardstock. I wrapped it with red organdy ribbon before attaching it to a white card base. I really, really like this paper pack. You might be seeing more of it in the next few weeks. Maybe for another Blast from the Past in the Stamp TV Kit Addicts group? We'll have to see!!
My second card features Theresa's NorthWoods 2 set. SUCH a cool set!
First I stamped the script stamp from Mel's Stately Flowers 9 set in Honey Mustard on a piece of Ivory Cardstock. Then I stamped the tree and bear from the NorthWoods 2 set in Versamark ink and embossed them in white. I used a sponge dauber and sponged Warm Cocoa ink around the edges, then inked up my sponge with Honey Mustard and sponged around the tree and the bear. I attached my ivory piece to a mat of Warm Cocoa, then layered that on a larger piece of Prickly Pear. I added a piece of ivory organdy ribbon and a Dark Chocolate button tied with twine to anchor my sentiment. I matted it with Dark Chocolate cardstock and attached it to a card base. VERY easy but with a WOW factor! So fun!!
