Your Next Stamp - October Sneak Peek

Hello friends!

I am SO excited to be playing along with the gals from Your Next Stamp this month!  I can't even tell you how cute the stamps and dies are that I am getting to play with, so I guess I'll try to show you instead!  Oh! And don't miss the new release blog hop that will start tomorrow night when all the new release items hit the store, ok?   For now I do have a sneak peek to share and the  Your Next Stamp blog has more peeks and inspiration!!

For my card today the star and sentiment are actually little bits from a Christmas-sy set of Wisemen, but as soon as I saw the sweet die with the snowman and pine tree I knew that I had to make this soft and sweet winter's eve card...

After embossing the star, I cut out my focal panel with a Stitched Rectangle Die, and then, while it was still in the die, I used watercolors and sponging to make the sky, splattering it with water for texture.  I added the sweet Winter Scene Die and the gumdrops to the mail panel and popped it all up over a cardbase that I had matted with some turquoise cardstock.

I'll be back soon with an overdose of cuteness for the New Release Blog Hop .  See you then!!

Flourishes - Friday Free For All

Hello everyone!

I'm back today with a card for our Friday Free for All over at Flourishes LC.  Today we were challenged to use fall colors, so I chose to make a card with the "gourd-geous" Bushel of Thanks set using the bunch of carrots.

I watercolored the carrots, cut them out, then tied them with some twine before popping them up over an embossed background and some patterned paper.  The sentiment was sponged with orange ink, and I used my scissors to curve the upper corner.  A quick and easy thank you note!

Flourishes New Release - It's All in the Details

Hello friends!

 Is it Christmas yet??

Today's set is called "It's All in the Details", and it is perfect for tags, envelopes, corners of cards... anywhere you'd like a little extra detail!   I used the pretty Flourishes Keyhole Die to cut out my image that I had watercolored with Distress Markers.  My attempt at handlettering the 'You' and 'Me' reminds me that I haven't been practicing lately - lol!!

Here's a look at the set and the die...

Be sure to hop around and leave some love along the way! And be sure to comment on the Flourishes blog, too.  See you tomorrow with one more new set!

Flourishes New Release - Coastal Christmas

Hello friends!

I'm back today with another Flourishes LC card!

The set I am working with today is called "Coastal Christmas".  It has lots of lovely non-snow Christmas images, but I wanted a card that could be used any time of the year so I chose this seashell wreath and colored it in neutrals and beach tones.  I also used one of the sentiments that was more "every day"-ish.  I watercolored the image with Distress Markers and added a little embossing and twine for texture.

Here's a look at the set...

Be sure to hop around and see all the pretties - and leave some love along the way! And be sure to comment on the Flourishes blog, too.  We'll be giving away a Coastal Christmas set to one lucky commenter there!

Flourishes New Release - Winter Blooms

Welcome to my stop on the Flourishes New Release blog hop!  I'm happy to be joining the team and I am looking forward to expanding my artistry to include the timeless and elegant style of Flourishes LC stamps.  These stamps lend themselves to watercoloring or copic markers, so I enjoyed using my Distress Markers while I was working on the cards for this week of new releases.

The name of today's set is Winter Blooms and the image I chose was the Paperwhite.  It is such a delicate flower!  Here's the set in full...

You Are Wonderful!

First, a lesson.

If you are going to do a color challenge, it is a wise idea to have the colors in front of you when you pick out your paper, or you might end up with a totally different shade of red than is shown.  Oh dear.  I had the idea right!  Red, Yellow and two shades of green + neutrals.

Oh well, I'll link this card and then I'll just have to play along again!! :)

So, I watercolored the Mice in the Cupboard from Your Next Stamp with my Distress Markers and matted it with cardstock and patterned paper.  I embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder after stamping it with VersaFine black ink.

Thanks for dropping by!
You are wonderful!! : )

Super Clean and Simple

I decided to make a "what would this look like if it was easy" card today.  I picked out some fall colors and an older Gina K stamp set and put together the card in about 5 minutes.
LOVE quick and easy!! :)

Blessings!

So Thankful

Hi again!

Another quick Stamp TV Kit card for me today!!  I have a pile of stamps on my desk to play with, but I find myself drawn to the kit because it is all there - stamps, patterned paper and cardstock.  I seriously need to think about making myself some mini kits with some of my other paper packs!!

I used the pretty sketch from today's challenge at Splitcoaststampers for my layout, and Gina K inks in Ocean Mist, Turquoise Sea, Fresh Asparagus, Dark Chocolate, and Black Onyx for the stamping.  The stitched rectangle die and sparkly enamel drops are from Your Next Stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!
