Raccoon Smiles

As soon as I saw today's sketch on the Your Next Stamp blog, I knew just what I was going to do.

I had a sweet little raccoon from the Woodland Cuties set all colored up already, so he would fit in the circle.  Then I had patterned paper leftover from a previous project, and the sprigs were in my pile of die cut rejects.  : )

TA DA...

I changed the orientation of the sketch because the paper was already cut to fit.  I love those polka dots! : )

TCP Flowers

Hi again!

Today I'm playing along with the TCP Tuesday Challenge and the TCP Spring Blog Hop.
Here's my card...

I used the sweet bear from the Bearing Flowers set and the clouds from the Stitched Fly Cut Ups.  I watercolored the image with Distress Markers and used one of my "go to" layouts.  The sentiment is from Verve.

An Attempt

I keep seeing shaker cards all over everywhere and I wanted to try one for this week's Sugar Sketch.  I'm not sure that I'm thrilled with the finished project, but I think that is more the balance of colors rather than the shaker part.  Maybe it is just that I need a wider assortment of sequin colors.  Hmmm... that must be it!! : )  I'll work on that and get back to you! : )

I used some patterned paper from my stash and stamps from Everyday is Christmas and Prehistoric Pals.

Edited to add...

Since I couldn't take the sequins out of this particular card, I decided to see if I could balance the colors in another way.  I removed the "waves" from the bottom of the circle, and added some white gel pen stripes to the blue strip at the top.  I think I like it better - what about you??

Sharing Sunshine

Hi everyone!

I have been missing playing along with the Share Joy challenge the last few weeks, so I decided I would make a card right away after it posted today. : )  I used the fun Much Love set from Taylored Expressions for the images and the Wildflower Bouquet set for the sentiment.  The paper is by Doodlebug.  I colored the images with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers and popped them up after fussy cutting them.   I tucked it into a package I was mailing this morning.

Here are the challenges that were inspiring me...

SplitCoast Ways to Use It - Use a tree
Share Joy #32 - sketch
Love to Scrap #76 - Anything Goes

Penguin Smiles

I had fun this afternoon coloring up this cute penguin banner from Your Next Stamp and following this week's sketch.  I colored the image with copics and added some white accents with a gel pen.  Doesn't he look happy?  The penguin is from Waddles - Happy Brr-thday,  and the sentiment is from Woodland Cuties.  So much fun!!

Sugar Pea Sketches

Hi everyone!  I finally had time to go down and play in my craft room today!  YAY!!

I decided to play catch up with the current sketches over at Sugar Pea Designs.

For my first card I used the SPDSS48 sketch, the Prehistoric Pals and An Ice Day sets, and some paper from the Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice pad.

I used the same paper pad for my second card, but went with brighter accent colors.  The sweet turtle and bird are from the Everyday is Christmas set... you know, a Turtle Dove. : )  This sketch is SPDSS49.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Happy Brrr-thday

More fun with my new stamps from Your Next Stamp!!  Today I used the colors from the challenge and the sketch from Splitcoaststampers and colored up Waddles the penguin.    Pretty self-explanatory, I think, but if you ever have questions, please be sure to let me know!

Have a happy day!

Cheer Up!

Hello friends!

I got the funnest - that's a word, right? ;) - package in the mail today ... new stamps from Your Next Stamp!  I had a gift certificate to use, and I had to add just a little bit extra, of course! : )  I picked up little animals, Waddles, some stitched square dies, and, of course.... another Phoebe!!!! :)  I was all set to use one of the other sets first, but Phoebe and her puppy just JUMPED into my MISTI and I had to use them!  At least I used a sentiment from one of the other sets. : )  Here's my card...

I used the sketch from this week's YNS Sketch & Color challenge and pulled my colors from the Cupcake Inspiration challenge.  The pretty background paper is from Gina K.  I colored Phoebe and her puppy (from Phoebe with Wagon) with copics, trying to color the hair like Anita does.  I think I need a little more practice, but I'm ok with it for a first attempt. : )  The sentiment is from the Woodland Cuties set.  I just curved it around the oval and used my MISTI to stamp it.
