Flowers & Scripture

Hi again!

I have a sweet and simple card today that features a stamp I love from an old Flourishes set (at lest 2013... maybe older?) called Botanical Bookplates.   I stamped the image with Versafine ink on watercolor paper and "messy watercolored" it with my distress markers and a small brush.  I used a Celebrations Pierced Oval die from Spellbinders to cut it out before layering it on a piece of patterned paper from my stash.  The sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps and is older still - I'm thinking 2010 or 2011??  I love both of these sets!

I'm playing along with a few challenges...

Retro Rubber #39 - Flowers
Card Concept #56 - Inspired by the pink / cream and flowers - Style??  Clean and simple or Clean and layered -- one of the two! :)

Thanks so much for dropping by!  I appreciate you!!

Tricia

Fantastic watercoloring! Really like the woodgrain and how it balances the flowers.

Gorgeous card! Love the wood grain paper and the pinks really pull out that grain. The flowers and the wood are a fantastic complement to each other ♥

I'm so glad you played along with Retro Rubber, Tricia, and with such a pretty card! Oh, how I love anything Marcy illustrates. This set is so lovely. Beautiful and soft with the color inspiration, and flowers always seem to look great against wood grain. Awesome watercoloring! Have a good weekend!

What a gorgeous card, Tricia, and I love anything that Marcella has drawn - no matter how long it's been. Your watercolored flowers are beautiful, and I really love this precious Scripture verse - it's short but so dear! And what a great background with the soft pink matting! Stunning, sweet friend! I've not heard of this Retro Rubber Challenge before, but I sure could find lots of stamps for it! Hugs!

Hello Tricia: I love Flourishes and I have this same stamp set, it dates from before 2012, it's lovely as is your card, love the soft colors you gave this sweet flowers and the way you framed them with the pierced oval die. Gorgeous water coloring, my favorite medium.
Thank you so much for playing along with Retro Rubber, we hope to see you play again soon.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
