Something New

Oh. you. guys!!!  I just made the funnest card!  Is that a word??  But it is!  OK... back story.  I don't like to make all the fancy fold cards where you have to measure here, cut here, and fold there.  I've made one or two during my years of stamping, but usually for a challenge and not cuz I wanted to.  Then, last week, I ran across the website for The Stamps of Life with Stephanie Barnard and saw all of her dies.  I've watched video after video and thought - "Hey!  I could do that!".  Then, today, I was at Hobby Lobby and I found one of her Flip-It dies that I had on my wish list... AND I had a coupon... AND I had a gift card!!! :)  So... here's my first Flip It Circle #4 card, using an image from The Angel Company, MME Notable paper, and a sentiment from The Cat's Pajamas.  TOO FUN!!

These cards will be so fun (and quick) to made and send, because they don't need a lot of layers to make them adorable.  Simple - but adorable!!  And they are so fun to play with!  I told my husband that it was too bad that I liked it... because Stephanie has SO many more dies that I know I'll like, too!! : )

I'm entering this in Simon Says Stamps Work It Wednesday challenge to use something NEW. : )

Thanks for stopping by!

Playing with Paper

Hello friends!

I was playing with my Simple Stories "We are Family" paper pack this morning and made a couple of cards to share in a few challenges...

My first card is for the Your Next Stamp Sketch challenge #31 and features Hot Cocoa Phoebe.  I'm also playing along with the Tic Tac Toe challenge at Stamp Ink Paper using Red, Floral and Patterned Paper.

My next card is a quick notecard using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and a stamp from Verve's Surely Goodness set.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such lovely comments.  You all are making it fun to share!! : )

Blessings!

A Cheerful Heart

Don't you just love how you can make an old, old, OLD stamp like this medicine bottle from Stampin Up look up to date by adding a sweet sentiment (by MFT) and some patterned paper and accessories??

I followed the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches (flipped and rotated!) for this card, and was inspired by the "plaid" Ways to Use It challenge at SCS.

To the End

Hello friends!

The card I have to share tonight features the Prehistoric Pals set from Sugar Pea Designs.  I think these little dinosaurs are sooooo sweet!  Here are the challenges I'm playing in today...

I used the Sugar Sketch...

And the colors from Color Throwdown...

And I'm playing along with the Anything Goes challenge at the Simon Says Stamps: Wednesday Challenge Blog.

I colored my image with copics and used some scraps of patterned paper from my basket.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thankful for You!

Hello again!

I have a card to share today for TCP Tuesday: Anything Goes and the TCP Blog Hop.  I followed the sketch over at The Paper Players blog
and used the colors from today's SCS color challenge.

I am loving soft colors right now.  And flowers are good, too.  They are so happy when it is snowy and dreary outside. : )  I watercolored my little bear from The Cat's Pajamas with Distress Markers, and used bits and pieces of patterned paper that were in my scrap basket for my background.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs.

So Sweet

For my second card post today, I added to my valentine stash by playing along with today's CAS challenge at Splitcoaststampers, Simon Says Stamps Monday challenge "Love is in the Air", and the challenge at Cupcake Inspirations - Gold, Cream, Pink.

I pulled out the Sent With Love set from Gina K Designs along with a piece of the GKD Floral Elegance patterned paper.  To get my gold, I colored some of the candy hearts and parts of the vending machine with a gold gel pen.  I also added some gold enamel dots and gold string.  The tag die is a Tag/Bookmark die from Your Next Stamp, and the banner is from MFT's Blueprints 20.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Tic Tac Toe

I'm playing Tic Tac Toe with my card today. :)

Share Joy...

I used the twine, vellum, embossing row for my card.  The sentiment is a Verve Plain Jane and the bee and flowers are from Taylored Expressions Sunflower Wreath.

I plan to tuck it in an order this week, unless I send it to a friend that sent a Christmas letter and I haven't written back yet...  We'll see!

Have a wonderful day!

Look At You!

There's a fun challenge over on Stamp TV to make a card with blue cardstock and ink, and when I picked out this Gina K Designs Blossom stamp set to use, I knew just the sketch that would work with it - the Freshly Made Sketch from this week!  Here it is...

Just for Fun!

I really, really wanted to play along with this week's sketch at Your Next Stamp, so I grabbed this adorable lizard that I had already colored and started working with the papers below.  Only, I really got him to make bookmarks for the library, cuz he's so cute and can you imagine being a little kid and having a bookmark with an image this cute that you can take home from the library that says,
PICK ME??

So, the long and the short of it is, I sorta kinda used the sketch, only I made a bookmark instead. : )  Thanks for looking even if I'm stretching it a little!

Maybe I'll have a chance this week to make another *real* card so I can enter the fun extra challenge!

TTFN!

Comfort and Peace

I'm using some of my favorite Gina K Designs Stamps today to play along with today's FUSION challenge, as well as the handmade embellishment challenge over on Stamp TV.

I used both the sketch and the colors of the challenge and pulled out some stitched dies to use.  I found some distressed woodgrain looking patterned paper in the Shabby Spring pack from Gina K for my background, and used a woodgrain embossing folder for my strip as well.  The stamps are from two Gina K Sets - one is a Stamp TV Kit set and the other is called Comfort and Peace.

Thanks for dropping by today!

Above the Trees

Doesn't this image remind you of Pooh Bear??  He's using his balloon to go around the world! : )
I used some of the colors from this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and followed the Stamping Smiles TicTacToe Challenge - critters, trees, die cuts.

Here's the recipe...

Stamps:  LOTV Clear Stamps
Dies:  Circle - MFT & Spellbinders; Rectangle - YNS
Cardstock:  Watercolor Paper; Ivory, Honey Mustard - GKD; Patterned Paper - Doodlebug
Accessories:  Enamel Dots - YNS; Twine, Distress Markers, 3D Foam - Stamp Simply Ribbon Store

A Joyful Hello

My daughter and I were commenting today that we are already thinking about decorating for spring.  LOL!!  Winter has hardly begun and I'm pulling out bunnies and flowers!!  But who could resist this sweetie??  I watercolored my sweet Lili of the Valley image with Distress Markers and made a patterned paper collage for my background out of leftover pieces of my MME Honey pad.  I LOVED this pad and I'm down to just a few more scraps before it is all gone.  *sigh*  The sentiment is from a retired set from The Angel Company.

Here are the challenges I'm playing in...

Blessings!

Love You

Aren't challenges fun??

My card today is inspired by a few of my favorites...

Share Joy - Inspiration Picture
I'm saving this card for one of my daughters for Valentine's Day!

Paper Players #278 - CAS Valentine

and, finally,

... since a doggy is man's best friend!

My stamps today are from Taylored Expressions - Watson and So Much Love.  I got the heart die from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store HERE, and the snow topper is from The Cat's Pajamas.  The banner die is part of MFT's Blueprints 20 set.

And have you tried the gumdrops from Your Next Stamp???  Oh goodness, I love them!  Especially the white ones.  I'm almost out already.  sigh.  Guess I'll have to use another color for awhile!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Roses and Lace

The Challenge has such a gorgeous inspiration piece this week!  Just look!

Isn't it pretty?

I needed to make an anniversary card, and I let the picture inspire me to use a script background, roses, lace, and ribbon.  LOVE how it turned out!

I'm also entering another challenge, that is WAY out of my comfort zone, over here at The Postman's Knock. Have you ever been there??  Oh.My.Word.  So much wonderful info on gorgeous hand-lettering and calligraphy.  I am SO going to be getting one (or two, or three!) of the hand-lettering worksheet sets that she has!  The challenge had other parts, too, but I'm less confident on my skills in those areas, so I'll keep them to myself for now.  :)  The challenge has another two weeks to go, so feel free to play along!!!!

See you tomorrow!

Remembering You

Hi everyone!

Did you have a nice Saturday?  Ours was busy and restful.  Do those two go together??  I had time to put together a card for a few challenges this afternoon...

Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge was to use stencils, and the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge was to use the ombre effect.

I used the Love and Prayers set from Gina K, the Poppy Birthday set from Verve, and a stencil from MFT.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Viva La Curtain Call

Hello friends!

I have a card to share today that I made with a couple of challenges in mind... First, the Viva La Verve Sketch, and second, the Curtain Call challenge whose keyword is "girly".  I was inspired by the flowers and the PINK in the picture. :)  I used the beautiful Verve set "Good Work" for the sentiment and the background was pieced with leftovers from an MME Honey pad.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Blessings!

A Latte Hello

I was playing in my little pile of new Your Next Stamp goodies today!  I watercolored Ellie Loves Lattes with Distress Markers and used the wonderful Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out my image and my patterned paper.  I already have one set of Stitched Rectangle Dies from Lil Inkers and it took me a LONG time to give in and get these from YNS, but I'm SO glad I did!  I just love how they look!  The stitching is just the right length and just the right distance from the edge.  LOVE them!! :)

I took my colors from this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  Aren't they happy colors???

Thanks so much for dropping in today!

Your Next Stamp Smiles

Usually sketch challenges are my favorite, but, wow!, I had a hard time with this week's sketch from Your Next Stamp!!  Definite mental block!! The rounded panel on the top just stumped me, so after a few epic fails, I decided to go with this topper die from The Cat's Pajamas.  The fun happy lizard is from the YNS set, Happy Dance.

Thoughts and Prayers

What a fun challenge over at Splitcoaststampers today!  Make a CAS White on White card with the only color being on the sentiment.  I used one of my favorite sentiments from TCP and inked it with today's colors from The Challenge - Orange, Teal and Navy... only I had to used Not Quite Navy as my Teal, so there isn't quite as much of a difference from the Navy.  Still pretty, though!

I'm entering this in the TCP Anything Goes challenge, as well as The Challenge.

Blessings!

Watson Shares Joy

Morning, all!

I'm sharing a Share Joy challenge card this morning that was a definite stretch for me.  I am really not great with tags and I have trouble using purple on my cards, so what's a girl to do???  I went with a cute puppy, 'cuz you can't really go wrong with a puppy, and followed, or tried to follow, the color scheme.

My card will be tucked in a GraceWorks order today, so I did the inside of the card, too...

The verse and flower are both from a retired set by Clear Dollar Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a splendiferous day!

Forget Me Not

Hi everyone!

I am really enjoying the Challenge Tracker sheets that I made for myself this year.  I have all the challenges I follow in a notebook, so when I want to make a card I can pull inspiration from the different challenges... a sketch from here, colors from there,  and elements or a theme from another.  How fun!

Today's card is based on the MFT sketch, the colors and theme from the Double D Challenge, and the elements of gold, embossing, and a shaped frame from the TicTacToe challenge

I used the Forget Me Not and Poppy sets from MFT for my background stamping and my flowers, and Blueprints 20 from my scalloped frame.  The embossing folder is called Wire Fence, and I used the same verse as the other day.  I love the shape and size of it!

Thanks so much for stopping in today!

Triceratops Birthday

How about a ton of cuteness to start this Friday morning??

When I saw the sketch over at Sugar Pea Designs I knew just what I wanted to do, and the Color Throwdown colors for this week were perfect for cute and cuddly dinosaurs (although I admit my colors are a little brighter than theirs!), so I combined the two and pulled out my Sugar Pea Designs Prehistoric Pals set and got to work.

My daughter has already claimed this for her birthday later this month!!

Thanks for stopping by... and happy Friday!!

Give Thanks

I'm playing along with the sketch challenge at SplitCoast as well as the Word Art Wednesday challenge today!  I used a few pieces of random patterned paper from my sketch, lots of Blueprints dies from MFT (#3 for the flower, #6 for the circle, and #20 for the Scalloped Rectangle), as well as an MFT stitched circle die.

The pretty gold string and doily are from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

I've been trying to tuck a handmade card in each of the GraceWorks Planner packages that I send out so you'll be seeing a lot of Scripture cards on my blog this year!

Thanks for dropping by today!
