{DeeDee's Digis} Somebunny's Thinking of You

Every once in awhile, I like to just print a sheet of digis and play. : )  It's so fun to just make cards and not worry whether or not they are "on trend" - no word dies, no fancy cover plates or mixed media-ness... just an image and some paper and some markers.  And cute-ness!!!  For this card I printed out a sweet digi by DeeDee's Digis and even printed out the paper, too!  I colored with copics and Spectrum Noir markers and added a sheer ribbon bow.  Sweet and simple!  I'm entering it in the AllSorts challenge to feature a creature. : )

{TCP Tuesday} Friends are like Flowers

Hi everyone!

I'm so glad I found a few minutes to play along with TCP Tuesday!  Being sick last week really took a toll on my stamping time!  LOL!!

I used paper from the MME Honey pad and rotated the sketch once to fit my papers.  The stamp set is the gorgeous TCP Simple Blooms set.  I clear embossed the flowers and sponged over them, then I stamped the sentiment and clear embossed that as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Today we're featuring Beth's new set Delicate Damask.  Sooooo pretty and elegant!  Here's my card...

I hand cut a banner out of watercolor paper for my focal layer and stamped one of the smaller damask stamps in Versamark ink, then embossed it in white.  When it had a chance to set, I used my Distress Markers and scribbled some ink on an acrylic block.  Then I used a small wet paintbrush to pick up the color which I washed over the embossed image.  I love the soft color!

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Charcoal Brown and then matted my banner on some Innocent Pink cardstock.  The pretty yellow gingham is from the Sunshiney Day paper pack and the pink layer is embossed with the Wire Fence embossing folder.

Here's the list if you're just getting started... otherwise, you can jump right over to the shop to check out the stamps and supplies you saw on today's hop! :)

{Stamp Simply} He Has Risen!

I just loved making this card!  The colors, the gorgeous two-step rose and the wonderful sentiment made it a joy - plus there are polka dots on it!  All of my favorite things. : )

The two step Romantic Wild Roses set is SO pretty.  I think you'll be seeing more of it in the future!  The layout is very basic, just matted rectangles of Simple Stories I Am paper, then I used the Spellbinders Celebrations Pierced Rectangle dies to give the top layer some extra interest.

My card today is with Melanie's fun new set - Triple Play Frame.  This set had so many great extras, that I decided to do a background with some of the flowers, foliage and butterflies.  The sentiment is from Let's Talk.

I used Fresh Asparagus, Kraft, Sweet Corn, Prickly Pear and Wild Lilac inks for the background and Dark Chocolate ink for the sentiment.  The gingham paper is from the Sunshiney Day paper pack and I tied it altogether with some gold cord.  Simple and easy!

Here's todays inspiration list if you're just getting started.  Otherwise feel free to drop into the shop to browse through the new releases!!

{Stamp Simply} With Love

I have a gorgeous new paper pack from My Mind's Eye to play with, and I really wanted the pretty love birds on this sheet to be seen, so I simply cut and sponged a die cut and stamped it with a whimsical greeting from the JustRite Caring Thoughts Sentiments set and attached it with foam dots over some metallic ribbon and Spellbinders Linen Thread.  I accented here and there with some enamel dots as a finishing touch.  I love that it is pretty, whimsical and mailable!! : )

{Stamp Simply} Grow in Grace

Today's card has such a pretty, bold look and it is so easy!!  I layered a piece of Pickled Pear paper onto black cardstock and then laid it over my card base to get the placement.  Then I turned it over and traced around the card base on the back of the black paper so I would know where to cut.  I colored and fussy cut the daisy from "Hello Daisy" and popped it up over a band of polka dotted ribbon.  Then I added a sweet sentiment from the "Grow in Grace" set.  Quick and easy!

{Stamp Simply} Daffodil Smiles

Hello friends!  It's Stamp Simply day on my blog and I'm wishing for spring and daffodils, so I made a card with the Stitched Flower Vintage Tags set by JustRite and paired it with some Anna Griffin Blomma paper.  It isn't the shade of yellow that you might expect for a daffodil, but I love the deep tones and I think it still gets the point across! : )  I watercolored my flower with Distress Markers and followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch for the week for my layout.

Here are my supplies...
