MFTWSC156

Whew!  This was one of the quickest cards I ever made, i think!  I got it in with hardly a minute to spare, so I made the card, photographed it, posted and linked it in under 30 minutes.  : ) Not something I would recommend... the picture didn't turn out very well...  The card is cute, though! : )  So I made it through the MFT sketch challenges this year and I think I missed only one... which was the week after I missed uploading one by half an hour.  I am easily discouraged!!  LOL!!

All right.  I have a ton of things to do today, so I'm off.  I'll catch up with you all soon!

TTFN!

Perfect Gifts

Good morning everyone!  Did you have a wonderful Christmas??  I have a Stamp Simply card to share today that uses Christmas paper but looks ahead to Valentine's day.  I used the JustRite set "Special Delivery".  It's actually a baby set, but doesn't it make a lovely Valentine?  To make the roses I cut a circle out with my petite circle dies and then  cut a spiral into them and rolled them up.  I paired them with some Prima leaves and a pearl.  Sooooo pretty!  Here's your shopping list...

Happy day after Christmas!

Simply Stamping - Faith

Good morning friends!

I have a card today featuring some of the beautiful supplies from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  Most of you know that I love my Verve stamps, so I was so thrilled to see that Sharon still has some of the single Plain Jane stamps in her store that are now only sold as a set on the Verve site.  So RUN, don't walk, to the Stamp Simply Store and pick up the verses you need to complete your collection!  And, BTW, they would make GREAT stocking stuffers!  Just saying! ; )

Today I used Hebrews 11:1, inked in blue and brown, and stamped on a Labels Four die.  I cut a Fancy Tag and a background layer from some of the paper in the My Mind's Eye Bluebell pad and matted it all on Whip Cream cardstock before attaching it to my Kraft card base.

TIP:  I colored some aqua rhinestones with my BG72 marker to make them match just a little more closely to the paper.

Here's your Stamp Simply shopping list...

The TCP Tuesday challenge for this month was to make a little gifty using your Cat's Pajamas stamps.  Well.... I may have cheated a little.  I saw cute little notebooks and tea holders and chapstick holders.  Me?  I covered a Russell Stover Peppermint Bar Candy Bar! : )

I used one 6x6 sheet of designer paper, added a pretty bow and made a tag using the Vintage Holiday set and the Framed Up Dies...I just cut the rounded part off of the largest die to make the burgundy mat.

EASY PEASY!!! : )

Go forth and create!!!

MFTWSC154 - Hi

Hi again!

I wanted to be sure to play along with the MFT sketch challenge for this week... especially because I have some new MFT goodies to play with. : )  Yay for new goodies!  I did swap sides with the embellishments and tab, because they seemed to fit my image better... : )

I played with my new You're My Cup of Tea set, the Textured Backgrounds and Spring Backgrounds, and my new fun favorite... the mini rolled roses that I've wanted forever!  I made the roses from post-it note paper and then I sprayed them with shimmer spray and smooshed them down so they would be flatter.  I love the shimmer on them in real life!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Verve Diva Dare... Top Picks

Hi everyone!

The Verve Diva Dare this month is to pick your favorite Verve card and repost it, or make a new card with your favorite set.  Well, most of the DT gals have picked their top five instead... so I think I'll do that, too! : )

Interestingly enough, when I lined up a number of my Verve cards, my very favorites were all CAS.   Good to know!   That must be why the sketch challenges always stretch me so far!!  : )

MFT Elf's Blueprints Challenge - 4.3

Hi everyone!  Here I am with this week's MFT Elf's Blueprints Challenge using Blueprints Four.  YAY!

Here's our sketch for this week...  Blueprints Four - Sketch Three

I rotated the sketch this week, cuz I wanted to play with some of my new toys from MFT. : )  I just love the MFT paper and ink.  If you haven't tried it, you REALLY need to!  The papers I used were Paver Red, Nightshift Blue, Whip Cream and Natural.  Oh, I LOVE the natural ink.  It is PERFECT for sponging edges.  Love, love, love it!  Then I got to use the Textile Background stamps and a sentiment from the gorgeous Fall Foliage set.  The twine and buttons are MFT, but the oval isn't... SHhhhhh.. ; )

Birthday Greetings

Just a quick and easy card with JustRite's Grand Birthday Sentiments and the Rose Garden Background Stamp.  Don't you love the soft look of that background stamp?  I can see myself using this a LOT.  I added a couple of strips of narrow silk ribbon, a pearl and some rhinestones to complete my card.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - Goals

Hello friends!  Welcome to my blog!

I'm SO thrilled to be guest designing for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge today.  What a dream come true assignment!

I have an inspiration challenge, of sorts, for you this week.  We all seem to start looking forward at the end of the year and we begin to make plans and goals and resolutions. My challenge for you this week is to make a card featuring a word or image that embodies one of your goals for the next year

For example, you might make a card with  the word "Hope" if you are struggling with a chronic illness, or use a flower image if you would like to do some gardening. You could make a "Thank You" card, because you want to practice thankfulness in the new year,  you could use a gingerbread cookie image because you want to learn to cook, or you could even make a Christmas card because you want to start on your Christmas shopping earlier next year. There are so many things to choose from!!

Be creative, but please tell why you chose the image or sentiment that you did in your blog or gallery post, ok?. : ) Since one of my goals for next year is to send more notes (as opposed to just making them!), I used this wonderful image from the "From the Desk Of" set for my card...

I stamped the image in Memento black ink on a circle diecut and colored it with copics from the Tiger Lily, Gerber Daisy, Flesh Tones, Copper, Creamy and Evergreen collections, before I mounted it on a Spellbinders Petite Circle mat.

I diecut a couple of banners and stamped the solid colored one with a sentiment from the Summer Blossoms set.  The base and second banner use BoBunny's Autumn Song paper.  SO pretty!

Here's my completed card...

Be sure to visit the rest of the DT’s blogs and leave them a little blog love. In return, they will amaze you with their talents!!  You can find a list of them on the Flourishes' blog...

I just can't put down the Blissful Butterflies set!  I used a die from Blueprints 4 for the scalloped edge., and some lovely Graphic 45 Secret Garden Patterns and Solids paper from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  The sketch is MFTWSC153.

MFT Elf's Blueprints Challenge - 4.2

Here's our sketch for this week...  Blueprints Four - Sketch Two

All right, I cheated a little this week and moved my stars over... creative license!! ; )  The paper is Kaisercraft Santa's List that I picked up at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, the stars are from Blueprints 4, and the sentiment from Blissful Butterflies.

Christmas Wishes

Hello friends!

I have had a busy, somewhat stressful week here and this is the first time I've really stamped with any success since before Tuesday.  My Mom had some pretty bad turns this week and hospice has been called in, so there have been lots of changes, lots of family and lots on my plate as I help my Dad.  I'm not sure if I'll be posting a Blueprints post on Sunday or not... I'm really not going to stress about too much outside of Mom and Dad until we see how things are going.

My card today was on the order of stamp therapy.  I actually intended on stamping a Stamp Simply card for Thursday, but then I saw the pink paper and white ribbon next to each other and this sweet bird from Verve and thought of this week's Deconstructed Sketch, and, well, the rest is history! :)

This weekend is Virtual Stamp Night on SplitCoast so I combined the challenge with the VSN embossing challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today!  See you for sure on Thursday if not before... : )

Blessings,

Tricia

Stamp Simply - Tons of Tags

Hello friends!  I have a fun project to share with you today!  One of my fun jobs during this school year is to teach a small elementary school choir.  For Christmas,  I wanted to have a small treat for each child that wouldn't cost a lot of money and could be personalized, because I remember getting a personalized ornament from my first grade teacher that made me feel SO special!

After lots of thought, I decided to attach a small bag of gummi bears to a tag that was personalized with each child's name, and I had JUST the papers to make them with!!

Here are my 14 tags (not personalized yet!) made with Kaisercraft Santa's List paper and Die Cuts...

I cut a 2.5" strip off of a number of different patterns of the 6.5" x 6.5" paper, then cut each strip into pieces so that I ended up with 3 - 1" strips, a 2." strip and a "whatever's left" strip.  I had some different colors of coordinating ribbon, the die cuts and some clear rhinestones on my desk and I just played with the strips, fitting them onto my tag bases however I thought would work.

Here's a closeup of a few of the tags with different layouts...

I'll be putting the children's names on the tags and stapling them each to a tiny bag of gummi bears for a "controlled sugar" treat... : )

Here's your Stamp Simply Shopping List...

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFTWSC152 - Under the Wire

I just looked at the clock and realized that I only had half an hour to get this photgraphed, fixed, uploaded and linked before the linky closes on the MFTWSC152 challenge!  EEK!!  And then I just realized I forgot the buttons on the side.  SIGH!  Why do I bother????

I used lots and lots of MFT goodies on my card, but I don't have time to link them all.  Be sure to email me if you need a name or some info!! : )

Timeless Tuesday -- Merry Christmas

I'm sneaking in with a Score, Pierce, Color card for last week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.  I used the snowflakes from Warm Winter Wishes and the pretty rose cluster and sentiment from That's a Wrap.

The background layer was cut with the Classic Keyhole Die Set.

Sweet and simple today... so I can get this linked in time!!

Blessings!
