Autumn Leaves

Hello again!

Can you believe that today is the last day of October??

How about a pretty pile of fall leaves on our Stamp Simply card today??  I stamped a number of the leaves and buttons from the JustRite Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves set in different fall colors to make my background and layered it onto some Devonshire  paper.  I really wanted to use some silk ribbon, but it was too wide to put all the way around the card, so I opted a piece of velvet ribbon and a silk bow.  And what's a silk bow without pretty Maya Road pins???? : )

The sentiment is stamped on a Spellbinder's Double Ended tag from years and years ago.  There are lots of great Spellbinder Dies on sale at the Stamp Simply Store right now.  I *know* you could find some tags there... and ovals... and circles... and rectangles... and... and... and....    ; )

Thanks for stopping by today and
Have fun shopping!!!

MFT Elf's Blueprints Challenge - 2.4

I'm back again with another MFT Elf's Blueprints Challenge using Blueprints number two!

Remember, the Link Gallery is remaining open for the whole month.  To help you out (and me, too) you may want to put your link in with your name and the week number.  That way you'll be able to remember which ones you did.  Or am I the only one who has that problem??

Here's our Blueprints 2 sketch for the week...

I was playing along with the HYCCT Mixed Media challenge with this card, and I wanted to be as UNmessy as possible, so I stamped the orange background in with an old SU background stamp in Versamark ink and then used pastels over it to bring out the color.  I inked the flower and sentiment from Peaceful Wildflowers for my focal image and added some Spica Pen to the edge of the oval.  Hopefully I mixed my medias enough!! :)  ACCK!  I just realized that I switched the orientation of my oval... OOPS!  Let's just call it creative license!!

I hope you'll be able to play along this week!  I can't wait to be inspired by you! :)

So... here's the details!

*  Make a card using your Blueprints 2 DieNamics and following the above sketch.  Feel free to use any stamps that your little heart desires... only please make them family friendly so I can say something nice about them!!
* Post the card to your SCS gallery (keyword:  MFTBP2) or blog then link your project with the inlinkz widget below... no thumbnail pictures, sorry... I'm just using the free text only one!! ;)
* Feel free to join us on SCS to chat in THIS thread... and maybe you could comment on two other creations, too, just to be nice!!
*  Anyone who completes the  four sketches of the Blueprint of the Month and links them by Saturday, November 2nd at 8:00 PM CST, will be in a drawing for a elf-sized mystery prize from me.  (I also have an elf-sized income, so it's just for fun... nothing spectacular!!)

So there you have it!  Go forth and create!! : )

And don't forget to come back next Sunday !!

By the way, if the little linky thing doesn't work, feel free to leave your link in the comments.  I'm new to the world of inlinkz!! ;)

Stamp Simply Love & Joy

Happy Thursday!  I got to play with a few more  Stamp Simply goodies for my card today!!

This pretty Justrite set was just BEGGING to be stamped with, and I had so much fun inking it up!  I stamped one of the ornament shapes onto Kraft cardstock in Kraft ink and then colored over it with an E41 Copic Marker.  The ink bled just a little bit, which was exactly the look I was looking for... although it may have ruined the nib of that marker, so I'm not sure it was my wisest experiment ever!!  After cutting out the ornament by hand because I don't have the cool matching dies yet, I sponged around the edges to give it a little more dimension.

I dug through my box of Stamp Simply ribbons... OH!  They are SO pretty!  And pulled out a few to work with that coordinated with my Kaisercraft St. Nicholas patterned paper.  Polka Dots, lace and GORGEOUS sheer ribbon.  SIGH!!

I stamped my sentiment on a classic circle die cut and then layered it on a Lacey circle before attaching it to my ornament.  Three pretty rhinestones for sparkle, and VOILA, another Christmas card to add to my list!

Here's your supply list for today...

Where Flowers Bloom

Today's card is for the Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday challenge of "Fussy Cutting".  I stamped the bouquet from "Roses are Red" in Memento ink and colored it with copics, before cutting it out and mounting it on a background that I had embossed and sponged.  I stamped a sentiment from "Botanical Bookplates" on a tag and attached it to my seam binding ribbon bow with a little bit of gold cord.

Thank you for stopping by today!

12 Days of CAS Christmas

Welcome to the Stamp Simply "12 Days of CAS Christmas" Countdown!

My CAS creation has a few layers - first cardstock, then a piece of designer paper from the My Mind's Eye Vintage Christmas pack.  I sponged some snow and clouds into a Floral Oval diecut, and then added the pretty deer silhouette from the matching Vintage Christmas clear set.  The sentiment is from a JustRite Christmas Set... Festive Poinsettias.

Here's the Stamp Simply Supply List!

Merry Christmas! : )

MFT Sketch Challenge

Hello, hello!
Here's my loose interpretation of this week's MFT sketch! :)  I turned it on its side...

I used the little Farmer girl and made a little scene with the fence die so it would also fit the Hope you can cling to "Make a Scene" challenge!

TTFN!

MFT Elf's Blueprints Challenge - 2.3

Welcome back friends!!!  Are you ready for another MFT Elf's Blueprints Challenge using Blueprints number two??  Today's sketch will stretch your creativity, but you get to use some of the dies with the stitched accents in fun ways, so it's all good!

Remember, the Link Gallery is remaining open for the whole month.  To help you out (and me, too) you may want to put your link in with your name and the week number.  That way you'll be able to remember which ones you did.  Or am I the only one who has that problem??

Here's our sketch for this week as we start working with Blueprints 2...

I really had a hard time deciding how to fill the blank canvas, but I wanted to play along with one of the Hope You Can Cling To challenges to use boots on your card, so this sweet little Pure Innocence Snow Angel Bear seemed to be calling my name.  I flipped the sketch on its side and colored the image with copics.  i even dug out my Stickles to add some bling! :)

I hope you'll be able to play along this week!  I can't wait to be inspired by you! :)

So... here's the details!

Stamp Simply - Christmas Morning

Do you fill stockings for Christmas?  I have stitched cross stitch stockings for each of my family members and one of our favorite Christmas traditions is getting up early Christmas morning and opening our stockings around the Christmas tree,  It's usually still dark, so the lights on the tree are lit and it is cozy and Christmas-y.  Here are most of the stockings I've stitched ...

So it's no wonder that I had to ink up this wonderful Just-Rite set from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store for today's card!  I stamped the "Toy Emporium" stamp in a grey ink onto a piece of paper from Kaisercraft's St. Nicholas pad, then attached it to another piece of patterned paper with a zigzag stitch.  I went over the stamped image with a damp brush to soften it just a bit, then watercolored my stocking image which was stamped in Palette Noir on watercolor paper.  I attached my pretty embellished bow to the card before putting it on the card base, then added my stocking with some 3d foam squares, along with a couple of rhinestones.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Your Stamp Simply shopping list is below!!

Overjoyed!

I had so much fun making this tag card for this month's Verve Diva Dare!  I gave my little Hoppy Easter bunny a paper pieced tummy and tie and used a few different dies to spice up the card.  The layout is Week 2 of the Viva La Verve Sketches.

Look at you Blossom

Here's a pretty card I made for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge on SplitCoast and the Chat Challenge at Stamp TV.  I used the Gina K mini set "Blossom".  Isn't it a fun color combo??  I like the extra texture of the embossed dots over the stamped background.  I'll have to try that more often!

Here's my card for this week using Pretty Poppies...

I pulled out my Versamark pad and pastels for today's card, because I wanted to make a card that was peaceful and quiet for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge at Splitcoast.  The challenge said to not have any words on the front of the card.  I was surprised at how hard that was for me to do!!  I must always want the last word!!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you'll be able to play along this week!!

So... here's the details!

Stamp Simply - Christmas Peace

I have a card to share today using a sweet Stampavie stamp from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store that will help us remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas.

I stamped the image on white cardstock, colored it with copics and then cut it out with a  classic Oval die.  The Oval is layered on a Floral Oval Die cut and mounted on my background - a sheet of designer paper from the Kaisercraft St. Nicholas pad that I decorated with Cluny Lace and twill.

I tied two bows with seam binding ribbon, added some rhinestones, and cut the "Peace" sentiment from another sheet of the Kaisercraft paper.

Here's your Stamp Simply shopping list...

Merry CHRISTmas!!

Anti-Embellishment Challenge

Hello friends!

I wanted to play along with this month's Anti-Embellishment challenge over at The Cat's Pajamas, and since my cards with PJ Bear won me the coveted title of

I decided to use him on this card, too! : )

I made a Z-fold card just to be fun, and added my two allowable embellishments in the form of giant eyelets.

When you open the card you see a "secret message" (which means it qualifies for an HYCCT challenge, YAY!) ...

And when you open it all the way you have room to write a note!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you'll play along with TCP Tuesday, too!!

Flourishes Pastel Christmas

The new release challenge for this month was to make a Christmas card in non-traditional colors.  I decided to make a collage style background because I think they are so pretty!  First I sponged my cardstock in blue, pink and plum, and then I stamped a number of images in black or plum ink.  I used stamps from Warm Winter Wishes, Naturally Merry, and That's a Wrap, and my sentiment came from Country Time Christmas.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thinking of You in Pink

Just a simple "thinking of you" card today using a sweet Spellbinders TearDrop Circle die and some Justrite stamps.  Do you know anyone that has been affected by cancer?  Perhaps sending them a note that lets them know you are thinking about them would make their day.

I stamped my card base in pink with the Victorian Tile Background Stamp and then added my focal image which included some stamps from the Hugs and Kisses set stamped in black on a cut, embossed and sponged circle diecut.  The rhinestones started out clear.  I colored them with copics so they would match! : )

Shhhh...

Newton's sleeping!! : )

I just had to play with my new Newton's Nook set again this morning!  My stamping funds are extremely limited, so my goal is always to use any set that I buy at least the number of times as dollars paid... For example, If I pay $15, I would try to use the stamps in the set at least 15 times... and each stamp used counts as one, so since this card used 4 different stamps, it's worth $4.00!! LOL!  Don't you love my logic???? : )  Honestly, though, it does help me look at a set that I would like and determine if I would really USE it.  This set, for example, was a definite YES!  I love Newton, the leaves, the wagon, the fonts on the sentiments, and all the other stamps that are included.  It was a MUST HAVE... plus my daughter likes it, too, so that makes it a "win-win" in my book. : )

I used the sketch from the Inky Paws Challenge, some MME Tangerine Paper (from Stamp Simply), some copics, a button and a little DMC floss.  The white CS is from Flourishes and the Orange cs is Bazzill, I think, from Michaels.

Thanks for stopping by!

Giving Thanks

The Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge this week is to include paper piecing on your project, and the prize just might include being chosen as a Guest Designer for the month of December!  Wouldn't that be a dream!  I decided to ink up the
Roses are Red set and paper piece a fall bouquet.  First I stamped the large bouquet directly onto a piece of designer paper from the BoBunny Autumn Song 6x6 paper pad.  I stamped the bouquet again onto green dp for the leaves and then multiple times onto the rust dp so I could not only paper piece the roses, but also give the large rose three different layers separated with pop dots so it looked more life-like.  I added a little coloring with copics, stamped my greeting from the Autumn Blossoms set and added a few rhinestones to finish it off.

Giving thanks for each of you!!
