Flourishes Little Sheep

I just loved this week's Word Art Wednesday verse.  In this world we're constantly bombarded with the message of self... "Do what you want!  You deserve it!  Don't let anyone tell you what to do!  It's all about you!"  But the Bible counters with a different message.  "There is a God. He created us, and we are accountable to Him."  What a joy to follow Him and know that He loves us and will tend us and care for us like the Good Shepherd that He is.  The verse made me think of this little lamb image from Flourishes that I colored completely with dots, as per this week's pointillism Timeless Tuesday challenge.  Banner die is from Verve.

Vintage Faux Poinsettia

I used such pretty paper for my Stamp Simply card today!!  This beautiful patterned paper is from a new MME pad called Vintage Christmas.  Don't you just love the pretty flourish and the deep cranberry color??  I created my poinsettia from the holly leaf and berries in JustRite's Holiday Magic set.  Then I added a greeting from the JustRite Christmas Labels Twenty, coloring in the word 'Christmas' with a marker.  The pretty 1" sheer gold ribbon and some Maya Road pins finish it off.

Here's your Stamp Simply Shopping List...

PJ in Paper

Stamps:  Bearing Flowers (The Cat's Pajamas)

Hello again!

I have a card to share today that features PJ Bear from The Cat's Pajamas.  Isn't he sweet??  TCP has a challenge running this month to use paper piecing on your card, so I dug through some of my favorite scraps of paper to find some fun tidbits for his body, face, tummy, flower and leaves.

I sponged a background for him, tucked in a fence that was in my pile of "things I didn't use on the card I cut it for"... (you do have one of those piles, don't you??), and added a button tied with twine for a little interest.  Some doodling, pearls and a sweet sentiment finished it off!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Viva La Verve Thanks

This was my first Verve set and I still just ADORE this little creature from the Hello Pumpkin set!!  I combined him with a sentiment from Surely Goodness that I stamped on a sweet Scalloped Rectangle die.  I followed this week's Viva La Verve sketch for the layout.

I used a few of my goodies from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store to complete the card...
MME Tangerine DP
Kaisercraft Rhinestones
Twine & 1" Sheer Ribbon

Newton's Nook - Wagon of Thanks

Good Monday Morning!

I have a sweet card to share this morning made with a fun set by Newton's Nook - a new to me company!

This is from the set Wagon of Wishes, and it has lots of fun fillers for this sweet little wagon.  The sketch is from the current Inky Paws challenge over on the Newton's Nook blog.  There is a cute digi image if you want to play along and don't have any Newton's Nook stamp sets yet!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Simply - Take Heart!

Good morning, friends!

I just love the rich colors in this Autumn Song paper pack by Bo Bunny, don't you?  I followed a Viva La Verve sketch for the layout which serves as a striking background to the beautiful Plain Jane Verse by Verve.  You can't see it exceptionally well in the picture, but I stamped the heart with the Victorian Tile Background Stamp by JustRite, to carry through the flourish-y, almost oriental look of the paper.  A double bow and some rhinestones complete the project.  Thank you for stopping by today!

MFTWSC141 - Fall Days

I pulled out one of my favorite Pure Innocence stamps for this week's MFT Sketch Challenge.  Usually this little Make a Wish girl is in a sleeveless dress, but I wanted it to look more fallish, so I added sleeves.  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Stamp Simply - Justrite Mini Three

Good morning, Stamp Simply Ribbon Store friends!!

I put together a little three-some of CAS mini cards this weekend that I'd like to share with you today!

I made my card bases with a Spellbinders Long Scalloped Rectangle die, but if you have a square die that measures about 3" or so, I think that would work, too!

First I cute two squares of My Mind's Eye Tangerine dp, one just an 1/8" smaller than the other, and I layered them together.

Then I stamped the pretty frame from the JustRite Hugs & Kisses set with Memento Black Ink and stamped a greeting inside the circle.  (The greetings are from the Hugs & Kisses set and the Festive Poinsettia set.  Don't you just ADORE that font????  I do!!)  I cut my circles out with a Spellbinders Large Classic Circle and sponged on some ink that would coordinate with my paper before I removed it from the die.

After adhering my focal image to the paper, I added some Prima Roses, Prima Leaves and Prima Flowers.  Then I aded a duet of pearls in different sizes to finish them off.

Here's the Stamp Simply Supply List!

Thanks for dropping by!

Flourishes - You are Special

Good morning again, my stamping friends!

My card today is for the Timeless Tuesday dry embossing challenge at Flourishes.  I kept it really clean and simple and played off the colors of an older Paper Studio paper pack.  After I colored my image from Autumn Blossoms, I stamped the sentiment from Inside and Out: You, splitting it between the main panel and a sentiment flag.  I embossed the cranberry strip with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder before putting it all together.

Thanks for looking!

Stamp Simply - Fall Bliss

Good morning, friends!

My Stamp Simply card for today features more fall loveliness from the JustRite Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves set.  I die cut a small tag from watercolor paper and stamped my leaf image with Palette Noir ink, before watercoloring using some waterbased markers.  I'm enjoying the Kaisercraft Devonshire Paper, and I'm finding that I really enjoy the little punch out tags and strips and borders that are included in the back of the pad. Here I punched out two pieces to layer under my tag, then added my focal image topped with a seam binding ribbon bow.  I pierced around the edges with my sewing machine... actually I meant to stitch, but I ran out of bobbin!  LOL! And then I added a scattering of rhinestones and stamped the sentiment to finish my project.

Thanks so much for stopping by this morning!

You Whooooo!

Hello!  How are yooooooooouuuuu???

I'm dropping by with a little owl card that I made with some of the components of the Grateful Heart Stamp TV Kit from Gina K.  I don't like owls as a rule, but this one stole my heart!

I came as close as I could to this week's Color Throwdown colors...

The Sage is hard to see, but I used it in the sky. : )

Shapely Snowman

Hi everyone!

It's been so busy around here that I seem to get my cards either on SplitCoast or here, but not both, but today I have a fun shaped card for the Flourishes new release challenge to share.

Now I am NOT usually a shaped card person, but I had seen some pretty cards using these fancy dies, and since I now have these Floral Ovals in my collection, I decided to try it.  I used some lighter-weight white cardstock so I was sure the die would cut through and then I ran it through my Cuttlebug with an extra piece of cardstock on top of the top plate as a shim.  I ran it through once, and then rotated it a quarter turn and ran it through again for good measure.

I sponged a shadow and a wintry sky before attaching my snowman from Warm Winter Wishes with 3D Foam Squares.  I stamped the sentiment and then added just a few rhinestone "snowflakes".

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sunny Thanks

Good morning!

I have a sunny thank you card to start your day today, featuring stamps from... you'll never guess! ...  a JustRite CHRISTMAS set!!  Don't you love it when you can use a holiday stamp for more than just the holiday??  I do!

I send a lot of thank you's, and sometimes I need one that can be done quickly like this one.  I started with a solid orange cardbase and added a strip of MME Tangerine paper, matted on ivory cardstock.  I used Scor-Tape to attach a piece of Chevron Twill directly to the cardfront.  I stamped my greeting from JustRite Christmas Labels Twenty onto a piece of ivory cardstock and cut it out with a SB Teardrop Circle Die.  While it was still in the die I sponged it lightly with orange ink.  After attaching it to the cardfront with 3D foam squares, I added three blue rhinestones to pick up the little bit of blue in the paper.

Here's today's supply list from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store:
