Christmas Trio

Remember the fun "What's on your desk?" challenge at The Cat's Pajamas this month?  I have been wanting to play with my TCP Vintage Holiday set, and I had some paper from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store on my desk leftover from a DT project, so I decided to see if I could come up with another trio of cards... and here they are!

I started with the Mojo Monday sketch...

And then made two more cards with the "leftovers"... : )

The shopping list is below!!!

Stamp Simply Christmas Tag

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...  in fact, some of you have probably already started your Black Friday shopping!  (Have you seen the sale at Stamp Simply ??  Wonderful bargains!!!)  So let's start off the season with a quick and easy gift tag using some more goodies from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

Here's what you'll need...

SOoooo simple!  Just stamp your poinsettia "snowflakes" on your tag first, then add the "To" and "From" and a smattering of extra snowflakes in a coordinating color.  Tie the top with lots of pretty seam binding and ribbon and silver cord and add some sparkle with rhinestones and a sparkly gel pen.  The candy is optional... but, oh, so good!!! :)

Now off you go!  Be sure to wrap your presents as they come through the door to save time later... but write down what is in each one first, or you'll have to unwrap them again before Christmas to see what they are...  Ask me how I know!!!  LOL!!

Blessings!

Tricia

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my US stamping friends! And a belated one to my Canadian readers as well... : )

I inked up the pretty JustRite Dotted Fronds Background stamp to make my background today.  I love patterned paper, but it is fun to get away from it occasionally! The gorgeous acorn wreath and sentiment are from the JustRite Autumn Vintage Labels Three.  I simply stamped the wreath in Memento Black ink and colored it with
copics.  After I pierced the edge of the panel, I popped it up on my background, adding three little banners cut from some BoBunny Autumn Song paper.  The Lippy Red Rhinestones add a little sparkle for the finishing touch.

Have a wonderful day counting your blessings, and come back tonight for a Christmas project to start off the season!!

MFTWSC151 - Butterfly Thanks

I was SO thrilled to be able to pick up a few sets that I've been wishing for at the MFT sale last week.  They came on Saturday, so I inked up the Butterfly set this morning to make a quick card with this week's sketch challenge.

I just love the pretty silhouettes on the butterflies in this set and the gorgeous Thank You!!  Thanks MFT!

A Little Verve

Morning!

I took a little time yesterday afternoon to play in my {very messy} craft room.  I definitely have CLEANING down there on my list for today!!

I wanted to join in the Verve Diva Dare for the month which was to use a common shape on your card.  I settled for a super CAS thank you note with hearts cut with Verve's From the Heart die set and a sentiment from the Celebration of Thanks set.  The notecard itself is cut with a Spellbinders Long Scalloped Rectangle Die that is PERFECT for making little 3x3 notecards.

My next card uses this week's Deconstructed Sketch and some more Verve goodies -- Winter Mittens and Purely Sentimental.

I pulled out a piece of my Kaisercraft Santa's List* paper to layer the background, then i stamped the mittens on white and colored / stamped them to look like they were paper pieced.  The little hearts are from the Hoppy Easter set and the cuffs are colored with copics.  I used an SU marker for the little dots.  I added some different ribbons*, a tag, some snowflake embossing and a few pearls* to finish it up!

* - All from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store! : )

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Blessings!

Stamp Simply - Quick Card Set

Good morning everyone!

I have a trio of simple cards to share today using the Kaisercraft Santa's List Paper, Stamps and Die Cuts from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!

Here's a group shot...

My first card was SO easy!!  I simply layered some pieces of paper, added a die cut and finished with pearls.  It was SO simple that I almost felt like I cheated, but I like it best of the three!!

For the second card I used some ribbon and stamped a greeting on a banner before adding the diecut...

And for the third card I used ribbon and pearls along with the pretty deer and flourishy topper.

I need to make a number of Christmas tags in the next few weeks and I'm thinking that I have enough die cuts left to use on those too.  I love simple!!

I'm a little late today, but here's this week's MFT Elf's Blueprints Challenge
using Blueprints number three!

Remember, the Link Gallery is remaining open for the whole month.  To help you out (and me, too) you may want to put your link in with your name and the week number.  That way you'll be able to remember which ones you did.  Or am I the only one who has that problem??

Here's our Blueprints 3 sketch for the week...

I made my sample today using the Blueprints 3 dies and the Cheerful Blessings Set, from the MFT shoppe, and some Graphic 45 Secret Garden paper from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks for following along on my Blueprints journey.  Feel free to play along if you'd like! :)

So... here's the details!

*  Make a card using your Blueprints 3 DieNamics and following the above sketch.  Feel free to use any stamps that your little heart desires... only please make them family friendly so I can say something nice about them!!
* Post the card to your SCS gallery (keyword:  MFTBP3) or blog then link your project with the inlinkz widget below... no thumbnail pictures, sorry... I'm just using the free text only one!! ;)

*  Anyone who completes the  four sketches of the Blueprint of the Month and links them by Saturday, November 2nd at 8:00 PM CST, will be in a drawing for a elf-sized mystery prize from me.  (I also have an elf-sized income, so it's just for fun... nothing spectacular!!)

So there you have it!  Go forth and create!! : )

And don't forget to come back next Sunday !!

Gingerbread Cookies

I have a confession, gingerbread men bother me.  I just don't like all those stories where they get up and play and run away when you aren't looking!  LOL!  However, this little gingerbread man stamp and die cut from Kaisercraft made a cute, quick and easy card.  I simply used the gingerbread man stamp to stamp a random background on a piece of kraft paper, wrapped it with a few pieces red ribbon and added a couple of matching diecuts.  Super simple!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Flourishes Warm and Cozy

I've been playing catch up for days since I was sick last week, but I didn't want to miss the Flourishes New Release "Grab a Cup" challenge!!

I decided to make a small card featuring the blue and green and browns of the inspiration photo.  Plus, the warm and cozy coffeee and sweets theme made me think that there must be snow outside!!

I used some stamps from Warm Winter Wishes, a little bit of designer paper, some pearls, a stardust pen, a little gold cord, and a couple of different Spellbinders dies for my mini creation.  Thanks for looking!

Stamp Simply - Fill the World

Hello again!  I have a card to share using some goodies from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store today!

I stamped the frame and the beautiful flower bouquet for today's card with stamps from the JustRite Black-Eyed Susan set, then colored the flowers with copics and sponged the frame with caramel colored ink to make it look "vintage".  The pretty background paper is actually a piece from the Kaisercraft St. Nicholas pad.  Isn't it great when you can use Christmas paper at other times of the year??  I added a sheer ribbon bow, a few rhinestones and stamped the greeting directly on the designer paper.  Simple, quick and easy!

TCP Tuesday Trio and a Bonus

Hi everyone!  I have a trio of Cat's Pajamas cards for you today!

The TCP Tuesday challenge this month is to make a card, and then make two more cards using the things left on your desk..  What fun!

I started by making the front card last night - inking up my new Bounce Back set because I felt about as rotten as the bunny.  I wasn't really feeling super creative, so it is pretty plain and simple... some MME Tangerine paper, some copic coloring and a sentiment.  Oh, and a wee bit of paper piecing on the tissue box.  Must have a tissue box.  We are great friends right now.

Before I cleaned up the desk today I decided that I should try to make the two other cards.  I found this polka dot die cut frame from the Framed Up Cut Ups set, so I adhered it to the front of this card base that I scored wrong  and then used another die in the set to cut through both layers.

I stamped my bunny in the opening and a sentiment on top, but I still felt like it needed something across the bottom, if I was going to make the longer edge look like I meant it to be like that.  Hmmm.  Oh, Look!  I have the Vintage Holiday set on my desk! YES!!  So I used the cool little flourish that looks like owl eyes to decorate the edge.

This last card is one my Dad requested.  He and a friend from church exchange funny cards and Dad thought he'd appreciate it and feel loved, not insulted. :) I was inspired to make the plaid background after watching this week's StampTV video.  I didn't have the same supplies on hand so I just used a white gel pen and a black micron pen.  I think it is PERFECT for a guy's card!!  Oh - and the cutout from the card above is behind the sentiment!

OK, on to the bonus card.  DH has a birthday on coming up and he was hoping to take the day off, but something came up and he won't be able to.  I thought he might appreciate a little humor, too.

I inked up Go! Fight! Win! and colored my bunny in Packers colors with copics after stamping a background.  I added some grass with prismacolor pencils and some stitching, then I used the top of the Less Work, More Football stamp to add a sentiment into the upper left corner.

On the inside I stamped the word MORE and then had to search through my stamps to find a "birthday" stamp that would sort of match.  Obviously I didn't do too well on the stamping straight thing, but I don't think he'll mind.

I think
LESS WORK
MORE BiRTHDAY
will sum up his sentiments quite nicely!!

Thanks for stopping by and reading through this LONG post.  Have a wonderful day!

Just for You

I can't believe it is the first of November already!  I need to sit down with my calendar and start planning out all the fun holiday things that are coming up!

This card is the last of my Hope you can Cling to cards from October.  I used plaid paper for this week's Flourishes challenge and colored up some of my favorite Flourishes flowers.

Happy November!
